Zonal Naad Banner Interpretation

This banner image is interesting and unique. It allows keeping insight of the forest in spite of a principal tree. Generally it is mostly the crystalized naad that is portrayed, as the naad node. However, it is important to also understand that zonal naad can be the initial experience when learning to identify this most subtle of a peeling of a bell.

But the zonal is not generally described or coveted (sought after). It may be even more subtle, because it is more diffuse and not as piercing for not being on the same frequency of vibration, It is perhaps less remarkable.

Yet, it is around where naad node may be found, away from the more active and unstable energy vibrations of the frontal area. It may also be more applicable to other general absorptions, such as preparation for sleep, where less focus or concentration may be preferred for some, all according to practice.

On a more personal note, I have long held the view that my naad perception is “fragmented” or not limited to node, and also having different tonalities simultaneously . Finally, this image clarifies and validates my experience very satisfactorily, in my assessment.

Any individual person that will allow or facilitate for one to approach the process of withdrawn introspection from the standpoint of such an image is worthy of exalted consideration! Meditation practices are many and diverse. According to this image, I denote that the objectives of such other meditation techniques are already preaddressed. Complete beholding of this image is a great advantage on the highway of liberation.

    • Additional points upon further consideration:

The only other aspect of naad not depicted in the image, according to my experience, is a subsidiary or secondary node. That is why I called my naad fragmented, but it is simply the odd case of different nodes.

That other node for me is located on the opposite side of the typical position of the principal node that is to the left, it is also higher. It has a hollow quality to it instead of the rather habitual piercing of the principal. It differs  in tonality from the principal node, and is less strident or pointillist.

It is normally to the right and forward. I perceive it slightly out of the perimeter of the psyche. But that last statement may just be an impression to be made more precise in time. Although he principle node can also be perceived similarly.

So I was advised to focus on the highest frequency some 15 years or so ago, by RishiDeva Madhvacharya. However, randomly (I think…) the secondary can become louder, and attract me more, as the principal lowers in pitch in the course of the introspection session.

I drew and posted a schematic of my naad perception per the request of RishiDeva on a previous website. I recall that he suggested that another practitioner may relate. I find it interesting that way over a decade later, the construct of my psyche has remained unchanged.

Rather, it is more specifically the perceptive state of naad is the same, whether accessed or not. Therefore, I must conclude that had I passed on by now, or when I do this is the psyche landscape that I will be working with.

Ultimately zonal naad does not provide for singular laser focusing of the attention. It is more like being in the midst of a dense forest or an englobing mist, oe being in midst of a myriad of crickets all singing in chorus. Whereas localized nodes feel more like hankering down or trying to, in a lighthouse in the middle of the ocean.

Although from the standpoint of the coreself/attention complex I experience these different naads immersively,  there are marked differences in terms of frequency, location, tonality, pitch, and even texture.

This is my experience as well.

      • Suryananda, Very profound perceptive analysis of naad!

In my experience, after breath infusion, naad is usually positioned predominantly at the front right top of the subtle forehead. It interchanges with the left side as well and sometimes it penetrates from both sides simultaneously. If the nodes are the same, then I remain attentive to both simultaneously. If not, then attention is given to the louder of the two. Occasionally, it is perceived at the back of the subtle head.

Naad usually has a constant eeeeee sound, but there are times where it makes a drone sound. I’ve also heard a trumpet sound but this was rare and inconsistent. It just made it infrequently in addition to the drone sound.

I thought it was odd that naad is predominantly at the front of my subtle head. And have attempted to remain at the back of the subtle head and link with it. But the quality of my meditation improves when I remain at the front.

        • It is remarkable! I don’t feel odd about my naad perception any more. Indeed, as RishiDeva had accurately predicted, another yogi may relate! And, again he benevolently put out the diagram that revealed the nodality.I feel so inadequate about my description, since I have no capability to draw. The ways and characteristics of the transcendental frequency can be multifaceted.Capturing them in some art form would be wonderful, alas one may simply connect.By the mercy of RishiDeva and our yoga gurus, all wealth is made readily available for use.

I think that as the mechanics of the psyche can be depicted in terms in of bandwidths, as some are considered in the norms, and other outliers, as in the case of a normal functioning buddhi organ (in its interpretation of sensorial data) as opposed to for instance a schizoaffective functioning (clinically designated as dysfunctional), on the level of subtle frequency perception, it also seems that there can be different types of perceptive designs, that may be categorizable as time progresses and inSelf Yogis continue to share and analyze their objective experiences.

This is in line with what RishiDeva Madhavacharya set out to do, by firstly making esoteric / secret practices meticulously, painstakingly, graciously, benevolently and mercifully available to all, and secondly creating a culture of practitioners’ “scientific” depiction. Therefore for inSelf Yogins, this website itself is not ordinary, it is infused with his energy and intentionality, and conjointly offers contributions from his yoga gurus. Such is a unique application of technology to transcendental endeavors.

          Manyfold prostrations unto him!
