Sexual Issues on the Astral Side
I was at Yogeshwarananda’s on the astral side, when I heard two yoginis discussing a monk who goes there now again. One yogini said this, “It is not known but he loves me more than he does anyone else.”
Then the second lady replied, “Why are you saying this? How can you estimate the degree of his love for you as compared to his affection and concern for any other followers?”
The first lady defended her view like this, “I know what I know. Have you ever seen the way he looks at me with such eagerness. What do you think would happen if he was not a monk? Obviously, we would have sex. And if we were in the physical world, there would be children as a result. What do you think? You feel that I miscalculate this. Actually, even though you are female, you do not know the particulars of love.
“It is a totally different energy. But in any case, what I said was for your ears only. Others would fall apart if they caught wind of it. Keep it secret. But do not worry. You have my word that I will not have this convert into sex.”
At this point in the conversation, I looked at the yoginis. They understood that I heard the conversation but I would not repeat it except for teaching purposes when their names would not be mentioned either on the astral or physical sides of existence.

It seems that eventhough one’s alignment with a certain perspective or status may provide an anchor due to habits developed in the physical world. Still the inherent interests may create vulnerabilities.
“But do not worry. You have my word that I will not have this convert into sex.”
Hypothetically speaking, if the lady obliged rather than resisted, I would interpret it as nature supporting the subtle interest. What then would be the basis for their attraction? It is not like they’re being influenced by ancestors who seek physical bodies, and are influencing their emotions towards eachother.

Rishabha , Please show us some evidence where ancestors who seek physical bodies do not influence people in the subtle world to take physical bodies which can become sexually involved and in turn produce physical forms for the said ancestors or their relations.
Even though subtle people cannot have pregnancies, their sex drive may still be able to sponsor such pregnancies in time. It depends on the energy content of the sex drive of each individual involved.
It is likely that people who do not have a physical body may by the power of sex drive be induced to take another embryo for the very purpose of indulging physically with the same subtle sex drive.
