Memories Dug-Up

On March 18, 2020, during a meditation session, Rishi Singh Gherwal took a memory out of my remote memory storage area. He looked at this and explain that the reason for the incidence was a past life in which I was a tribal leader where the people involved were with me in that relationship.

He did not explain his interest in this but asked if I maintained a relationship with any of the persons involved. I told him that I did not. This was an incidence from 1966, which is fifty-four years ago. It happened at Toco beach, which at the time was sparsely populated.

A friend of a relative informed me that her mother wanted me to go to the place where their family had a remote fruit farm. After hearing this, I felt compelled to organize a group of friends and go there. For some reason, due to subconscious motivation, it felt that it was the right thing to do.

After I explained the plan to six of my friends, they agreed to consult with their parents. Each one got approval. We planned to stay at the place for about a week. We had to get to the main bus station near Port-of-Spain. Then go to the end of the bus route and walk the rest of the way which as I recall was about three miles from the terminal on a paved road.

When we arrived there, we met a caretaker who lived near the place. He showed us the layout of the farm and gave us residence which was a wooden cabin house. There was a stove there but there was nothing else. Most of the fruit trees were out of season.

We came there but without enough food supplies to last a week. After two days whatever we carried was finished. I suggested that we should use coconuts because that was the only tree producing at the time. As fate would have it, we tried eating coconut pulp in all its stages. We even tried to cook coconut pulp, instead of grating it in the traditional way. We did not carry a grater.

For baths we went to the beach which was a stone’s throw away from the cabin. We discovered that the water was very salty. This Toco place was on the north face of the island. The place was pristine being unused by human beings. Besides the caretaker there was no one else in the vicinity.

At night we could not sleep because of the clouds of loud humming mosquitoes. We had no type of repellent to deal with it.

Rishi explained that this happened because in a past life I was a chieftain somewhere in Mongolia, where at the time, the young males were assigned to a chief who took them on excursions to find food and stores which were procured for the tribe. He said that the lady who owned the place and who suggested that I go there, was a leading figure in the tribe. She subconsciously recognized me and gave the suggestion, which with the force from the past life, caused me to comply.

Study of past lives and their influence on what happens currently is an important part of the course for yogis. Without it we cannot figure the course of destiny.

Rishi Singh Gherwal is different to Yogeshwarananda. With Yogesh, I have to explain why I did certain things which he finds in my memory. He would say, “Why is this? Why did you do this? Are you stupid?”

With Rishi, he explains the incidences and does not bark a series of questions. With Yogesh there is laughter as he takes out the most questionable things, like for instance he will find some detail of my teen years when I was with a girl somewhere attempting to do things that a teenage should not indulge.

Questions about why one did such things? How should those questions be answered?

Dean's question: When these memories are picked out for analysis, are they altered or removed? Or is it the same as reviewing a video file on your laptop?

      • They are not altered. It is the same as pulling up a movie file and viewing it. Here is a picture of Rishi from 1937.
