The Case Of Heinrich Himmler

Did Himmler (and other top Nazis) use the Bhagavad Gita as a kind of a “blueprint” for the Holocaust and World War II?

Human beings always use religion or religious texts to support their behaviors. In the final analysis material nature cares less about the intellectual and emotional supports one uses in committing an activity, and one is left with the reaction. If you study chapter one of the Gita, you will see that Arjuna was using religion from the Vedas and other texts to support his arguments. Krishna demolished those statements. Then Krishna used other statements from scripture to convince Arjuna to act in a certain way. Thus the behavior of Himmler is regular, even though it might sound as amazing. For that matter if there was no Bhagavad Gita, Himmler would have found some other scripture or myth to tag his belief, and actually he did that using some old German and Viking stories even though that was not mentioned in the article.
