Suryananda - Practice Report -- 10/27/2017

I have been aggressively working on the lower parts of the body, in particular, the basin zone. Over the past few days, this has proven to be a task that will require significantly more effort and time than I could have imagined. There has been systematic generalized blowback. I am discovering connective links from the feet all the way up to into the back.

At times it seems that there isn’t even enough oxygen or blood to help clear up the targeted areas. Sometimes, I have to simply repeat particular asanas with fire breaths just to get deeper or even hopefully accomplish the level of clarity I am aiming at. Overall it has been a discouraging labor, yet seeing my predicament I am compelled to continue with the process.

I have not so far in the usage of this body gone in this much depth, and the resistance based on years of neglect and irresponsibility is fierce. The body feels the effects of the actions throughout much of the day. It is such an objective that it has to some extent altered my normal focus until I adjust or transition into the deeper work.

There hasn’t been any dramatic rousing of energy as of lately. During today’s hour session, and only towards past 45 minutes into it, the energy arose surprisingly in a sitting posture, on the back of the feet and as in praying. It was of a bright golden iridescent quality and fanned out appearing to cover beyond the scope of the body, and really at the back, almost as a peacock tail. It had practically a neutral feel to it, like those fireworks that go off illuminating the sky with just a minor poof sound, instead of the expected big shuddering bang.

It would have been perceived through the intellect organ and indicated that the assault over the past few days is going in the right direction. It confirms that even if notice only comes over time, responses are related to the overall sessions as time progresses. The following half hour meditation wasn’t particularly focused. However, the naad sound had a distinct cylindrical metallic sound to it. Later during the morning, the sound could be still perceived with that quality.
