Sense of Ownership

Who am I?

It may be answered by saying that I am a sense of ownership of people, places and things. From day one, just moments after birth, I cried for parents whom I owned; I cried for a place, my crib, which I owned; I cried for a toy which claimed as my own.

Am I a sense of ownership personified, let loose in this creation for expressing claims for people, places and things?

But there is a clash where my sense of ownership runs contrary to the sense of ownership of others in the environment.

There is the situation where others feel that they own me or that I am owned by them and should comply with their every wish. These includes seniors and juniors, peers and teachers, relatives and friends, even those who dislike me and those who resent me.

What to do about it?
