Reproduction Faculty inDraw
This is a hatha yoga austerity posture for curbing and perhaps for eliminating the reproduction faculty of a human being. In this posture, after the legs are crossed over the thighs, the feet are pulled up. This causes a compression of the sexual and reproductive parts of the body.
The idea is that a lad from the age of seven to that of fourteen can cause the reproductive and sexual expression power in the body to be suppress as it attempts to develop.
The theory is that if this is practiced in earnest, along with other hatha yoga processes and using pranayama breath infusion, that individual will not be urged sexually and will not experience a strong impulsion for begetting.
Is this effective?
My guess is that it is partially effective only. However, if someone can do it and get the results intended, that should be recognized.
