Rebirth Avoidance

Arthur Beverford, a deceased yogi has a new idea about how a yogi who is to take rebirth because of not completing austerities in his recent physical form, can do so and avoid taking an embryo.

The method he said is to inhabit the body of a yogi who will complete the austerity or to inhabit the body of many yogis, each of which would complete some section of the austerities and practices (kriya) required.

To do this, a yogi would have to develop the siddhi perfection power of being able to inhabit the body of another person. In this case, that of another yogi who has a physical form and who practices the methods which the deceased ascetic needs to complete.

If this sounds outlandish consider what happens when an ancestor inhabits the body of a living descendant and causes that physical person to manifest desires which the deceased person craves. For instance say that a deceased relative wanted to live in an opulent large house. This person is now deceased but due to poverty did not fulfill the desire in the recent past life. Then a descendant of that person became wealthy by hook or crook. The deceased ancestor could now influence that wealthy descendant to finance the desired large house with opulence accessories. This would happen if the deceased person entered into the psyche of that descendant.

The descendant would hardly realize that he or she was possessed by that dead relative. Does this happen regularly?

Beverford got a siddha perfection power that allowed him to enter my psyche when I do breath-infusion practice and meditation. He was graced with this by Srila Yogeshwarananda who regularly enters my psyche to give instructions in kriyas and to check how my psyche adjusts during practice.

Beverford once complained to Srila Yogesh about my teaching attitude which Beverford did not like. Subsequently Srila Yogesh gave Beverford the power to learn my methods by observing from within my psyche what I do when I practice. Beverford then realized that by practicing in the way I do, he was being relieved of the strong desire to take rebirth.

"Beverford then realized that by practicing in the way I do, he was being relieved of the strong desire to take rebirth."

The way that you do what you do leads to relieving his strong desire to take rebirth certainly. However, that way does not involve possession of others (especially outside of strict yogically advanced and sanctioned overtakings), to the contrary it consists of avoiding others influences, or subtle cohabitation of individual forms and energies...

The uncertainty in terms of logistics alone of relying on others in this particular fashion can will easily be relieved by focusing on inhabiting sufficiently one’s own subtle tendencies, by dint of practice alone.

There is a certain relationship, rapport or connection with you, that aspect may be absent with the holder of the next techniques. And, so obviously others who are thus inspired may find themselves wanting.

Very crucial it appears to have clarity on the context of any assistance, maybe even as much as the techniques themselves.

      • That is true because of the uncertainty in terms of logistics alone of relying on others. What or who determines who favors who? Is that decision made by whimsy?
