Psychological Adhesion
Consider if this is the situation between the senses/intellect and the core-self but with the core-self being the victim insect.
What are the chances of the core escaping this adhesive power?

If it is developmentally and adequately positioned (causelessly).
If it is able to perceive the situation as a threat and a duty towards self to act on that realization.
If it is capable of not being de-stabilized by the actions of the frog, and possess a clear insight as to the source of that external energy as the same as that which it the core-self is not, beyond survival.
Then it can be graced with the antidote. It could then be inspired or instructed as to that application, which is going to involve a molecular level of consideration and absorption in order to lift such reversible saliva. The chances might be causeless.
Freedom from such a sticky situation is plausible if the insect can understand that a head on fight is futile, and could further entrap. Better to invest time in devising a method that can see into the details of the adhesion and neutralize it. It must also accept that causelessly another will simply have to take its place to satisfy very urge it just labored away from.
