Preparing for Ageing, Illness, and Death

I used to listen to the 15 minute talks of Ajahn Thanissaro on YouTube. Recently I found more of his talks sourced out of the Sati Center. Now this talk popped for a series of talks he gave in Singapore.

He begins with a really helpful guided meditation. He instructs on how to make the breath easeful and how to spread it all over the body, all the while maintaining mindfulness.

Next comes the talk, with numerous excellent tips. When death comes have you built some good houses nearby to go to when the fire of death kicks you out of this shelter?

Did you know that the present moment is mostly to be used for the cultivation of skillful means, to prepare for rebirth?

Karma and intention are dissected at length as well as dealing with pain and the setting aside of fear.

Take a listen if it sounds helpful. He often speaks really fast but in this talk he goes at a gentle pace.
