Meditation Checking

On a daily basis, at the onset of each meditation session, there should be a condition check. This makes note of the existential condition of the mind space, regarding what it is engaged in, despite the application of willpower commands and desire ideas, which the coreSelf prefers.

What are such conditions which one may have, some which are frequent or some which happen only once in a while?

Here is a listing which is a sample of what may be found in the mind. It is relevant to note the social and environmental conditions at the time of the onset of any meditation, because such surroundings have slight or major influence.

The mindspace conditions are as follows.

  • random energy with no specific focus
  • random energy with awareness of a tiny existential self
  • a condition of radiance where the coreSelf is itself an energy source which glows like a light spreading through darkness
  •  a condition of radiance, where the coreSelf radiates in a limited way as for instance, for one inch from its center
  • a sharp focus on a mental or emotional object which is in the mind in its ideation format
  • a developing focus which did not reach the object of its intentions but which was on the journey to made that contact
  • a focus on a piercing inner sound, naad resonance
  • a condition where one hears inner sound but it begins to disappear as soon as one became aware of it
  • a focus on mental or emotional light which does or does not remain in range
  • a focus to send a sensual probe through the mind for acquiring whatever it may find in the mindscape or outside of it
  • a focus which is the development of a mantra which is being said in the mind
  • a focus on the coreSelf with the understanding that such focus is the total pursuit at that time
  • an awareness that someone else is in the mindspace, a different individual

Any of these may occur at the onset of a meditation. Whatever it is, it should be noted. A yogi should avoid ignoring these notations of the mental or emotional conditions when beginning a meditation practice. Over time, this information may allow him to better rate the progress.
