Hereafter Repeat

What a person does during his life as a physical body, he will continue to do during his afterlife as a subtle form or ghost. There is a statement from Krishna which assures this (my translation):

यं यं वापि स्मरन्भावं

त्यजत्यन्ते कलेवरम् ।

तं तमेवैति कौन्तेय

सदा तद्भावभावितः ॥८.६॥

yaṁ yaṁ vāpi smaranbhāvaṁ

tyajatyante kalevaram

taṁ tamevaiti kaunteya

sadā tadbhāvabhāvitaḥ (8.6)

ya yam - whatever; vāpi = va — or + api — also; moreover; smaran — recalling; bhāvam — texture of existence; tyajaty = tyajati — abandons; ante — in the end; kalevaram - the body; tatam - that that; evaiti = eva - indeed + eti — is projected; kaunteya - O son of Kuntī; sadā - always; tad — that + bhāva — status of life + bhāvita — being transformed

Moreover, whatever texture of existence is recalled when a person abandons his body in the end, to that same type of life, he is projected, O son of Kuntī, always being transformed into that status of life. (Bhagavad Gita 8.6)

In a recent astral encounter with the father of my physical body, I noticed that his lifestyle was both a repeat and continuation of what he did just before passing from his last physical form.

I repeatedly notice in the astral world, that if there are any vehicles or mechanisms, they are without sound. No engines operate. No gasoline or any other type of combustive is used for movement. In this instant, there were tractors moving on smooth dirt roads. Every machine was noiseless.

My father, for his part was at his house which was similar to house he had just before he died. It has many defective items like a broken faucet, a damaged sink, a partially rotten wooden counter, missing or twisted treads on stairs, trash here and trash there.

He wanted me to fix some defective plumbing. He became irritable when I made a comment about something, just in the way he would have when he was physically alive.

Even the water which he used was not potable. There were questions about it in his mind as to its potential for bacterial infection.

Are you sure that you are going to heaven hereafter?

Are you certain that at death there will be immediate transformation where you will become an angel?

Are you sure that God will accommodate you in a way which is markedly different to the way he situated you right now?
