Devotion With An Impure Psyche
On August 24th 2022, breath infusion practice was conducted at 4:15am. Focus was directed downwards into the subtle body upon cessation of each set of breaths in the various postures, with physical application of the neck, chest, navel and perineum locks. Attention was internalized due to this continuous focus, in addition to focus on the pain points in each posture.
Kundalini was aroused into the subtle head whilst performing the Bhajan Rooster(Variation of the rooster posture taught by Yogi Bhajan), Yogesh Rooster (Variation of the rooster posture taught by Srila Yogeshwarananda) and froggy postures.
These arousals were experienced as spinal kundalini which transited through the sushumna nadi into the subtle head. This resulted in intense blissful energies being felt predominantly in the subtle head. Sparkles of lights were perceived with observations of the shifting energy in the front of the subtle head. These shifts typically occur instantly but it’s as if I perceived it in slow motion.
Upon sitting for meditation, I observed that harnessing the emotional energy as a form of devotion may present many complications. This observation is from the perspective of an impure psyche. I noticed that the energy converted in an instant from genuine affection to undesirable interests.
My exposure to carnal knowledge serves as a reference for this emotional energy. This is dangerous, and is reflected in one’s subtle activities where one may pursue sexual interests with those whom one is affectionate towards. From my current standpoint, I believe that a respectable posture, void of the emotional energy, should be assumed towards one’s teachers and deities. This may protect one from compromising the sanctity of those relationships.

Respect for the realization in the quote below:
"Upon sitting for meditation, I observed that harnessing the emotional energy as a form of devotion may present many complications.... From my current standpoint, I believe that a respectable posture, void of the emotional energy, should be assumed towards one’s teachers and deities. This may protect one from compromising the sanctity of those relationships."
An additional anchor is of course the sublime and benevolent naad as soon as detected. Inself Yogin teachers may not generally want to be the focus of meditational energies from students, unlike other devotional processes. They may consider such focus more as a botheration or disturbance.
Should one be so exalted, then I presume select deiti(es) can be the focus of meditative devotional energies.
