Consciousness / How Science Regards It

This article is interesting. One part of it has to do with if machines will ever become consciousness. My reply to that is that machines are already conscious by virtue of the use of electricity. The lack of an identity-self which can say I, does not prove that the machine is not conscious, but it does show that there is no way for the energy flow to assert itself or for a part of it to assert that part as something which objectified itself.

Those people who feel that machine are not and can never be conscious are fools in my opinion. Why?

Because they fail to understand how they assumes the embryo. No one who studied that process in detail will say that a machine is not conscious. Barking out statements against science as if science cannot  and never will mimic what nature does, is plain silly in my view.

Electricity is itself consciousness, which means that wherever it is in any quantity, minute or cosmic, that is the presence of consciousness. There might be a question about the utility of consciousness but that is a different issue. Do not confuse it. And do not feel that unless consciousness is utilized in the way we are familiar with it while we are physical bodies, that consciousness is absent. First properly define consciousness and then we can have an informed discussion. And please do not run off with superstitions and silly guru declarations.

If you hate science or have a ready bias against it, please leave aside the discussion.

Here is an article that raises hairs:

"Electricity is itself consciousness, which means that wherever it is in any quantity, minute or cosmic, that is the presence of consciousness. There might be a question about the utility of consciousness but that is a different issue."

Electricity itself is made of electrons and other "unseen" subatomic particles. In quantum mechanics exist experiments of the Observer Effect also known as the Copenhagen Interpretation. wiki/Observer_effect_(physics)

"An especially unusual version of the observer effect occurs in quantum mechanics, as best demonstrated by the double-slit experiment. Physicists have found that even passive observation of quantum phenomena (by changing the test apparatus and passively 'ruling out' all but one possibility), can actually change the measured result. A particularly famous example is the 1998 Weizmann experiment.[1] Despite the "observer" in this experiment being an electronic detector—possibly due to the assumption that the word "observer" implies a person—its results have led to the popular belief that a conscious mind can directly affect reality.[2] The need for the "observer" to be conscious has been rejected by mainstream science as a misconception rooted in a poor understanding of the quantum wave function ψ and the quantum measurement process,[3][4][5] apparently being the generation of information at its most basic level that produces the effect."

Personally, only rarely have I been able to become aware of someone observing me from behind, that feeling in your neck ... (on account of the life force). So apparently particles give more sign of awareness on a predictable and constant basis than fully developed human me.

But there is also Quantum Entanglement, where by a physical phenomenon that occurs when pairs or groups of particles are generated, interact, or share spatial proximity in ways such that the quantum state of each particle cannot be described independently of the state of the other(s), even when the particles are separated by a large distance. See Wiki.

Just like the electricity is motivated towards structural activity according to its source of energy from which it can be considered also distinct,

the core-self is distinct to the sensory apparatus of the bodies both physical and subtle, but it provides the motivational fuel to remain a structurally cohesive organism, of the living entity as known.

Therefore since the possibility of machine consciousness exists and may become evidenced through AI under short notice, cryogenically frozen person bodies may be able to be revived, perhaps.

But then the atma would still be and have to remain separate, and may not partake to the live of new shell-person, who may have to operate a like an AI type of conscious “material”  entity body.

A total mishap! The environment will be gradually put to the service of cruder forms of existence, albeit materially advanced and intelligent, in terms of seeking to do the upmost with the energies afforded by material nature.

It is more and more evident that life or humanity initially can be eliminated as a result of different reasons, some of those may be more subtle. We are not dinosaurs, they couldn’t kill themselves knowingly, we only need to choose the weapon. We can be our worst enemies, as a species.
