Charm of Astral Lights - 2: Curvature
Sunday, November 7, 2021, 7 pm IST, Chennai (Madras), India
For the second consecutive day, astral lights were observed.
The link to the previous day's observation: https://inselfyoga.com/page/view-discussion?id=7803
After intense breath infusion, sat down and hooked onto the Naad sound blaring from the right side of the ear, the following stages were observed:
Stage 1:
As usual, when the astral light emerged, the sense of identity ditches Naad and hooks on to Astral Light (see the link).
Naad is heard in the background, but the sense of identity is attracted to the astral light. It is colorless light, looks close to moonlight but even subtler. It has cool bliss. A visual bliss than a sensual one, this is even more sublime.
Stage 2:
Astral Light moves in a curve from the left side to the right side as shown in the picture.
The thoughts were still coming at say slow-medium pace in frontal and top head (I get more in top than front).
Astral Lights were like massaging and removed the leftover trauma content of these thoughts. When the light moved in the curvature from left to right, made the subtle head feel lighter with heavy energy.
Conclusion:
The leftover trauma content from each visiting thought gradually builds up, as they come and go.
Best Analogy is: Just like how tourists litter the mountains as they come and go. The trash, plastic, aluminum cans build-up, and then when the rain comes, it washes them off altogether; the same way, this astral light curvature was as important as a rain shower washing off all the trash.
If the rain showers come on only one side of the mountain, the trash would be cleared up only there. But if the rain showers all around the mountains, it is a total clean-up. That's how important this almost 360° Clean up of Astral Light is.
The astral light washed off the trauma content build-up in the subtle as it moved around the skull from left to right.
After the disappearance of astral lights, the head was littered again by touring thoughts and ideas with trauma content.
This condition lasted for 20 minutes during *samyama after breath infusion.
I read a similar curvature of astral light in Invision 19, Pg 132 on Feb 20th,2022.
*Note:
Samayam is the three higher stages of Yoga as defined by Patanjali's Ashtanga Yoga:
Dharana-Dhayana-Samadhi.
The above stage happened between gradual slippages of dharana, dhyana & samadhi.
- Dharana is a deliberate linkage to higher sound like Naad or Person.
- Dhyana is an effortless linkage to higher sounds like Naad or Person.
- Samadhi is a continuous effortless linkage to higher sounds like Naad or Person.

Samyama???
Who knows what that is or what part of it is practiced at the time?

Thanks, I explained it now in the post with definitions.
It was up and down between dharana, dhyana, and samadhi, at some point it became an effortless continuous linkage to the astral light.
