Bitterness in inSelf Yoga™
One thing student yogis can learn from election campaigns is how the quality of bitterness which is an integral part of human nature is manifested and how it is applied to anything it can get it hands on.
When trying to get elected we find that frequently one opponent will attack everything or near everything of the other opponents but it is really an attack on somebody outside of the psyche of the attacker or it is merely operations within the mento-emotional energy?
If anything, if there is to be something which I may be remembered by after I am shoved out of this body by material nature, it should be that I hawked the students successfully or unsuccessfully about focusing on the core-self and its adjunct and to abandon the social quest, to cease and desist from the war or peace between the materials body one owns and the material body of others, even between the body one owns and the astral form of others.
The battle that I want to bring your attention to is the one between the core-self and its adjuncts.
Vicious opponents in an election campaign will hammer away at each other and will never say anything good about the other person but will critics everything that other person does.
My proposal and I hope you could look at it, is that the critical energy is not concerned with the target person(s) which is outside the body. It is concerned only with expressing itself any which way. It uses the target person as a target and that is all. Its satisfaction does not come from the target but rather from the expression but the target according to what or who that is, may proliferate more in certain targets which it finds accommodative to its needs for channels of expression beyond itself.
A 3,000 watt generator cannot produce any more power than 3000 watts but the machine may not feel good if it is plugged into an appliance which requires 6000 watts to operate at full capacity. It will also not feel good if it is wired to a night light which pulls only 5 watts.
It would require a machine which needs about 2,500 watts for it to feel that it is established or expressed. Then it will buzz happily along until the gas tank is empty.
The machine is concerned with its expression and the appliances which are hooked to it, have value only in the sense that they accommodate the expression. So long as there is some machine there that can use a certain amount of current, the machine will be happy expressing itself.
inSelf Yoga means that you lose concern with the social hook-ups, both the favorable and unfavorable ones, even when they are present, even when they must be there as designed by providence, and you take seriously to the expression of your energies within the psyche. Regulate that. Study that. Measure that. Censor that. Criticize that!

This is an example of how we can make spiritual progression even when viewing political incidences which have nothing to do with yoga. Listen to this video and pay close attention to what Governor Jindal says about Obama. He will rip into Obama and he has always done that.
But is it Obama really or is it just his need to express bitterness for which, to his mind, Obama is the perfect avenue for expression.
Is it bitterness that is being expressed and only that?
Does it really have anything to do with what Obama does or does not do as the President of the USA?
Can you understand what I am talking about?
