Astral Marijuana Mountain

On the afternoon of June 24, 2017, I was in a conversation with the deceased person who was known as Swami Muktananda. I was at the Zen Hostel in Gainesville Florida, doing a session of bhastrika breath-infusion with Tobe Terrell. During the session, Muktananda who is affectionately called Baba by his disciples, approached. He was in a hurry. He discussed one of his disciples whom I met the day before. Then he waved his hand and showed me some astral lands where many of his deceased disciples and even some who still use physical bodes, congregate.

He said this,

There they are on Marijuana Mountain, all stoned continuously. It is a task for me to wean them away from this. Can you help?

I replied,

Certainly I cannot. People go in the direction of their acquired faith. Without having first acquired faith, they cannot yield to anything in the long term. Since their confidence is invested in you, it is your task to assist them.

After this he went away.

Special Note:

The interesting feature of that Marijuana Mountain is that none of the ascetics who were on it, were ingesting marijuana by smoking or by eating the plant in any way. The place is so enchanted, that just by being there, one’s subtle body absorbs the influence of the marijuana plant. One enters a trance state which is similar to the one people experience in this physical world when they smoke marijuana.

It is an interesting place because those who go there are unable to release themselves from the place. Even the yoga teacher has difficulty influencing them to do anything because of their absorption there.

    • Is this where the subtle travels once it's influenced by this drug?
      • The subtle body of a person who is habitually under the influence of marijuana does not necessarily travel to this place, but it will gravitate to a place where it can access the drug in one way or the other, depending on the specific habit and environment used by that deceased person before the body died.

These persons were yogis who were dedicated to using the drug for specific trance absorption states, persons who spent years using the drug and became dedicated to being in the state the drug provided. Most of these persons are like the ones you may meet in India at the Kumbla Mela gathering on somewhere else in India where ascetics or societal rejects live only to get the influence of the plant.

One important consideration is that if the person was habituated to the influence in the physical brain, that person will after being evicted from a material body for good, seek out rebirth so that the subtle body can again get the drug through ingestion in a physical form. But those drug users who managed to transfer their intention to the subtle body, will be more inclined to finding a subtle place where they can remain under the drug's influence.

There is a description in the Srimad Bhagavatam about a dimension (Atala astral place) where users of the drug may find themselves living after death. There they are used by females who use them as stud-horses and who make sure they smoke the drug so as to maintain sexual viriltiy which is required by the women there, who are their captors. (Srimad Bhagavatam 5.24.16).
