Appreciation for the Yoga Invision Books

For anyone that’s interested in Inself Yoga, I believe that reading the Yoga Invision books by Michael Beloved is an absolute must. The required psychological approach and execution is demonstrated by Michael through his personal experiences and notes.

When I was first introduced to this practice, I had the expectation that it would be a standardized, “structured” system, as the way yoga is taught by many yoga gurus in India. I later realized that each yogi’s journey differs, and that the practice evolves and adapts to each individual’s psyche. One yogi may be currently working on cleansing specific areas in the subtle body, whilst another may be focused on cleansing the sushumna nadi. Then there was the bigger challenge of dealing with the complexities of karma and nature’s governance.

I demanded a step by step, standardized approach from my teacher in many ways. Knowing my intent, he did not budge. Instead, he simply explained that the system couldn’t be presented to me in a box as a “one size fits all.” This frustrated me for some time. I wasn’t pleased with this because I approached Inself yoga with preconceived ideas. I perused the current website and read every article I stumbled upon, and searched various topics I was interested in. There was gold to be found, and I sought it. Then I learned about the Yoga Invision Series.

The Yoga Invision books inspired me to reconsider my criminal intents and flawed motives for seeking the practice. Before, I perceived yoga as a tool to facilitate material advancement, but I was introduced to its intended purpose and possibilities through these books. I read them like comic books, fully invested in the conversations of the characters, their roles and contributions. These were deities and spiritual masters disseminating wisdom and guidance to Michael and to readers through his recorded notes. And most importantly, innumerable yogic techniques and the required lifestyle adjustments to facilitate yoga were divulged.

As I read them, I noticed that a high frequency of naad could be heard in the subtle head each time. My practice was intuitively corrected, intensified and impetus increased. Confidence in the practice was developed and my confusion was quelled. It is my belief, that the information and energy contained within those books facilitated these adjustments.

I consider the Yoga Invision Series to be an autobiography. It is filled with experiences in the subtle reality, yogic techniques, lifestyle recommendations and wisdom for serious yogis. The notes date back to 1998 which was approximately 26 years after Michael began practicing yoga in this life. Therefore, I recommend one approach these notes with humility. Immense gratitude to Michael Beloved for releasing these books.

    • Rishabha It seems that you have grown up before our eyes. Great self reflection. It's tough to criticize ourselves. But if we are to liberate ourselves we must.

To quote Michael...."Keep it up you may turn out to be a great yogi yet." wink

      • Indeed, I tried to force the process with the idea that I could’ve driven in gear 6 the whole way. “I will explore this entire existence” (You know how that ended) lmao. Comedy in the spiritual genre.

Thanks always for your continued guidance and encouragement!
