Yoga Teacher Failure

On March 26, 2020, Rishi Singh Gherwal was in my psyche during an afternoon meditation psyche. While I was emerged in naad sound resonance, he disappeared after some time. Within about ten minutes he appeared in the subtle ahead. Simultaneously I became aware of some memories of incidence which occurred in 1966. At the time I was on the island of Trinidad and my body was fifteen years of age.

I was with a group of male friends. We used to attend cinemas, parties and the like. I studied to pass the University of London GCE exams. I self-studied with assistance from a retired school principal, named Morain.

When I became aware of the memories, they were like live incidences. I realized that Rishi retrieved those memories from the chest area of the subtle body. He looked at me and made these cutting remarks.

“You should have influenced them to practice yoga. What happened? Why the failure?”

Rishi was unhappy because I did not introduce yoga practice to every one of my friends at the time. I explained to him that it was not possible because of the social situation and the resistance in the nature of my friends. Actually, one person became serious and practiced astutely but the others did not have an instinct for it. One other friend assumed a practice which he said was bhaktiyoga, but his body was older than mine. He was disinclined to taking instructions from someone younger.

There was also ancestral pressure in the minds of these friends, whereby that force did not allow them any leeway and supervised their time, such that they felt anything besides making themselves attractive for marrying was out of the question.

According to Rishi every one of those friends did yoga in previous lives and should have resumed the practice. Apparently, fate arranged my association with them for the reason of my influencing them to practice but another feature of fate, the ancestral influences, provided resistance to my ideas. Such is this life, that a yogi may fail to complete his practice, what to speak of encouraging someone else to do yoga.

So true! I feel this way most definitely in this life. I actually see even the full-time subtle phase of the yogins’ life also as being problematic. This is a very serious responsibility and grave engagement, I do not wish upon myself.

So some are passed over with the opportunity in this time, from our inSelf Yoga spiritual leader RishiDeva Michael, and instead, providence chose to promote others on this lengthy and arduous path. For not having made any interesting progress, my fortune lays in working on just that.
