Comment to 'The Conservative Right: How It All Began'
  • Frank, the elderly father in the documentary, may be regarded as a victim of circumstance, whereby he was under one influence and then was switched circumstantially to another. This is irrespective of if one of the influences may be proven to be good or bad for society.

There would be some other person somewhere, who was influenced in reverse, where that person hated Regan or Nixon and then because of circumstantial influences switch to the oponent of that politician.

There is mention of the addiction to anger, a tendency which the report highlights. I feel that it is an addiction/need for opposition. It is said that it takes two to tangle. What would happen if a prize fighter entered a boxing ring and the opponent did not show up. What a fight that would be? No excitement, nothing? Who would enjoy that? Who would start a movement to outlaw that?

In nature there is the right side and the left side. Both are required to operate a body. And we heard about ying and yang from China. But if you need ying and ying for harmony, how should those two factors interact?

The same nature which produced the right side, produced the left side. Why do they fight? Is nature wanting a clash?

    Take capitalism and socialism!

Is one better than the other? Are both necessary?

If no one can eliminate the one or the other, why not use both constructively?

Should the right hand fight the left hand?Is the body capable of governing both hands for the interest of the body?
