The kundalini is in control of preference. The coreSelf has nothing to do with it even though it is compelled to do what the kundalini suggest. One other way to look at this is that the coreSelf is blackmailed by the kundalini, the intellect and the sense of identity. Being cornered like that, the core can do nothing but comply with the preferences of the kundalini.
