Yoga Evaluation after Death

A friend who recently passed from his body this very year, and who was in a Vaishnava lineage, contacted me on August 6, 2015 about the value of breath infusion in terms of what it could do for the subtle body.

I introduced this practice to this person many years ago but he did not take it seriously because of his beliefs which were based on a no-yoga process in the sect in which he was a staunch member.

According to the sect, ashtanga yoga is not relevant and should not be practiced because it is gymnastics and a waste of time. However when I did my practice early in the morning, this person came there in his subtle body and said that after he left his physical form, a resistance energy left his subtle body which allowed him to do the breath infusion practice which I showed him so many years ago. He was astonished at what it did for his subtle body in terms of causing the form to shift to higher levels and to remove from it damaging psychic energies which it developed while he used his past physical form.

He stated that when he was alive physically, he had no insight into what pranayama breath infusion could do and thought that it was useless breathing exercises with no impact on the subtle body. In fact he felt that even the subtle body had no significance and only the supposed spiritual form did.

Now that he lost the physical body, he is left with the subtle form which he used in dreams formerly. He realized no spiritual form and is stuck with the subtle body now as his own means of operation.

This is good for this person that he can make progress in the astral existence, because usually one cannot make progress there but must take another physical body to continue the spiritual disciplines.
