Western Style Evacuation Sitting

The usual way for evacuation in the East is the squatting position. This pose is not suitable for the design of Western commodes. In addition Western bodies are not as flexible since from infancy people use chairs and do not sit on the floor.

I discovered one posture in variations which can be used to help with evacuation, especially as the body gets older and the waste moves sluggishly through the large intestines and even in the rectum.

It is worth the while to study the design of the intestines and the rectum to get some understanding of what the kundalini does to process food from the stomach through the small intestines coiled system into the large intestines which move food up the right side of the body, then across the chest, then down the left side then into the lower center into the rectum where at last it is evacuated.

The posture below in its variations show a pose in which one may exert the required pressure to move waste which lingers outside the inner valve in the rectum.

It is very important for those doing hatha yoga and related kriyas to have the most efficient processing of food through the intestines and the rapid removal of waste once nutrients are processed. As it is the system lingers which results in holding waste in the body for longer than necessary which contributes to increased apana energy and decreased prana which in turn has a dulling effect on meditation practice.

Here is the posture:

If someone maintains the proper turgor in their abdomen, and eats a diet sufficient in fiber, and cleanses the hardened material that layers on the walls of the colon, and has cleared the emotional dross that enervated the viscera and deactivates peristalsis, they can affect a smooth move while standing on their head. Messy, not recommending...... but do able.

What I am really saying here is....

Michael!!!!

Lemme use John McEnroe's line: You can't be serious! Ha, ha.

I always look up to you as an venerable acharya, verily a Yogiraj...and what you do? Show us students, using your own image pitilessly, how to take a dump!

This is ultimate compassion.

You one of a kind, way out of the left field. The child in you can come out at any time. It is refreshing.

AM Practice Report: Used this asana this morning and it works!

Thank you.

    • A few months ago I was working relatively aggressively on the lower stomach area. I had to carefully focus on the types of foods I was consuming, their digestion or transit and also their effects on the subtle system. I would do very pronounced stomach cleansing. In the mornings I would first have a bowel movement before practice.

I became inspired to eliminate in a similar way as shown by RishiDeva in the use of a modern toiled seat. However, having used latrine style bathrooms as an elementary school age kid in Mali (West Africa) it wasn’t too far a stretch for me to lay some tissues on the toilet floor and get down to it.

For those evacuations, after emptying normally in the pictured postures on the toilet seat, I wanted to go farther in the colon. By the way, note how the pictures allow for the entire colon to be pressured, and from there it knows in which direction to push along. So I would proceed to do this same posture away from the seat, totally squatting with the knees pushing into the armpits.

I agree that this is extreme and isn’t meant for or even accessible to the general application. The results are immediate and thorough they provide me with the results I want. It was subsequent to such degree of cleansing that I have raised the life force forcefully by only churning the stomach. I didn’t report those occurrences in writing, maybe because it was a bit out there for me, myself, at this point.  I was able to perceive the energy in that area of the trunk and gauge its condition.

The importance of the thorough emptying and efficient transit of food matter is truly appreciated upon a deeper level of connecting to one’s consciousness, beyond the normal and usual abstract sense of the statement. This level of practice has also allowed me the understanding of how to breathe into the sex organ energy center bypassing the other organs positioned above it.  And to possibly get an idea of the discrimination between the subtle sense of hunger and where it is located as opposed to that of actual organic starvation.

You may refer to the following u-tube video for an illustration of the digestive process: Digestion-in-Human-Beings
