Vice / inSelf Yoga™

Vice / inSelf Yoga™

Yoga has its Yama and Niyama which are prohibited and approved behaviors. At first glance these seem to be immoral and moral principles to govern social behavior. However, for the purpose of inSelf Yoga™ these features of yoga are applied within the psyche to govern the behavior of the coreSelf and its adjuncts.

The idea of using these to manage social behavior between an ascetic and others is primitive. In the long run an ascetic realizes that social governance will not grant proficiency in advanced practice. This is because the said person of the yogi, the conventional self, is a composite, a set of parts which make up a psyche. Its actions are governed more by the relationship between the adjuncts and the core, than it is by the relationship between the collective psyche and other psyches of other cores.

The problem is the relationship of one adjunct to another and one adjunct to the central power which is the coreSelf. The main target for control is the intellect but the ascetic must study it, and the other adjuncts, He must also understand the limitations of the central power which is the coreSelf. Even though it is the central power, this core is not self-sufficient in this situation. It must rely on the adjuncts, which in turn, influence the core to endorse their behaviors.

The single vice for the ascetic is idea-formation, commonly known as thinking.

If one can stop thinking, imaging and ideation during meditation one could be a successful yogi. The focus is not moral principles. What matters if one can cease the thinking operations during meditation? If one was the best person in the world with a record of socially approved acts, and if during meditation one cannot stop the thinking impulse, one cannot be a successful yogi.

If alternately, one was the worse person in the world, who has the most disapproved history, and if one can stop the thinking system in mediation, one can be a successful yogi.

To understand this ultimate vice of impulsive thinking, the composite self must agree to fragment itself into its major constituent parts as a core, surrounded by a transparent energy which is its sense of identity, which, in turn, habitually connects with an intellect which is a psychic calculator, which in turn is influenced by an ranging sensual energy directive which contains memories. This is called the kundalini lifeForce.

As a list this is:

  • coreSelf
  • sense of identity
  • intellect
  • kundalini lifeForce
  • memory

In its present condition, the coreSelf is surrounded by the sense of identity. It cannot rid itself of this transparent energy but all the same the identity is a neutral force which, by itself, does not prejudice the core. However, when it is connected to the intellect, the sense of identity is prejudiced by the intellect’s ideas. It then influences the core accordingly.

Since the sense of identity is permanently attached to the coreSelf, I will not discuss it as being negative except in its feature of being perpetually and impulsively attached to the intellect. This suggests that if the intellect functions in a way which is beneficial to the core, the sense of identity will not transmit erroneous opinions to the core. But if the intellect disfavors the core, the sense of identity will influence the core to its detriment.

The intellect for its part is a calculator, illustrator and supernatural vision tool. However, it is prejudiced by the kundalini lifeForce and by memories. The intellect has a power where it attracts the sense of identity. It gives that sense an opinion or notion about the ideas which the intellect illustrates to the bewildered coreSelf. Because the intellect favors the kundalini lifeForce, it cannot be trusted to always act in the interest of the core. Hence it is necessary to harness it so that its involvement with the kundalini lifeForce does not imperil the core.

The kundalini lifeForce has its mission for survival of a lifeform and for participation in the history of a dimension in which it has a form. This mission may run contrary to the interest of the core Hence there is a need to control the kundalini. A yogi should practice a discipline which targets the condition of the kundalini, so that it can be fed an upgraded energy, the highest possible diet, whereby its vulgar habits are reformed and it seeks elevation.

The memories are recordings of past incidences. These cannot be altered but their injection into the intellect must be controlled. They should not arise haphazardly or even associatively unless the core expressly requests them.

The pivoting point is to control the intellect and to upgrade the kundalini lifeForce.
