Third-Eye Ordinary Perceptions

In some experiences when one see with the third eye, one will see ordinary perceptions. These should be recognized. One should not feel that everything perceived with the third eye has to be super-subtle or supernatural or spiritual.

One sobering consideration is that even in perceiving visually through the material body, one has to use the third eye. This is why humans and other species knit the brows for focusing the mind on certain perceptions. The physical action of knitting the brows is a gross demonstration of putting the third eye to use in the subtle body.

It is important to differentiate in meditation when one sees through or into the third eye and when the mind is imagining or making up perceptions. It is also important to recognize when one sees into the buddhi analytical orb.

How to differentiate these perceptions?

How do you differentiate between actually physical vision and imagination in the brain of the physical body?

Could you explain that to me in simple but very clear terms?

Have you ever bothered to investigate that?

Was it ever your concern?

Did you ever demand of yourself an explanation of how your physical body tells what is illusion and what is actually physical?

Of course, students grill me from time to time about how to sort what takes place in the head and elsewhere of the subtle body, but do you ever bother to harass yourself and make demands for answers about what happens to you physically?

During a recent meditation, suddenly without warning, I saw a set of tomatoes, cherry tomatoes at the third eye. These were in a basket. It was like if you are seeing through physical eyes but looking through a cylinder into a dimly lit basket of tomatoes and only seeing just the rim of the basket with the tomatoes and nothing else.

These was clearly a third eye perception. After seeing these for a time, that vanished and then I was on an astral beach but was bodiless, but as if standing on that beach as the tide began to turn so that it was going out to sea away from the shore, at the moment when the astral tide turned. There was not a soul anywhere, not even any birds, nothing, just the beach, the tidal waters, and the sky of the place which was greyish.

Was this an uninhabited planet or island, even uninhabited by birds and other creatures?

This also was a third eye perception but it was more than seeing with the third eye, it was also perception of the astral consciousness in a bodiless format.

What does it mean to be bodiless like this?

Usually in the astral world one uses an astral body even though on occasion one can feel the body but cannot visually see it. In material existence we are familiar with feeling a body and seeing it. Unless one is blind, one can feel the body and see it. If it is pitch dark as in a cave for instance, one may feel the body but not see it but when one feels it, it feels to be a solid real object.

In the astral existence when one feels  the body and does not see it or cannot see it , then there is no touch feeling of the body, there is only a knowing-awareness of it.

In the bodiless astral states, there is a blank transparent knowing that the body is there or that it must be there but still there is no cognizance of it. This really means that the body is registering somewhere else but not in the dimension one is aware of.

What would it be like, if you existed in a state, in a place, in a dimension where you were aware of yourself but had no body?

How would that tally with what you know yourself to be at present?
