Recently most of the individuals who shot others for public recognition in the USA did so understanding that they would be killed by law enforcement. This might mean that their effort to kill other bodies is linked to their effort to kill their own bodies.
One interesting thing about reincarnation, is that the belief in it from either Eastern or Western philosophy, does not necessarily stop a person from going on a killing rampage, or suicidal behavior.
