Stingy Yogi

It is proven fact that most wealthy persons are very stingy. So stingy that they would cheat someone to get even a penny, despite the fact that they may have a millions dollars in the bank or be in a leverage commercial position whereby thousands of dollars are deposited in their accounts on a daily basis.

Why do you think this occurs, that even if a person is wealthy that person still has to be stingy and may perpetrate a farce in the form of posing as a very kind person by opening trusts and charities which render finances or services to the have-nots.

And what about yogis?

Are they better than anyone else?

Do they have that stingy streak in their natures?

How can we break through the mist of holiness around a yogi and see if he is actually just as vicious as those miserly wealthy persons?

I inadvertently performed a test on my yoga practice and discovered to my surprise that I was just as stingy as so many wealthy persons, some of whom I knew personally and were graced to observe their sly conniving behavior.

It has to do with a test about the kidneys, the cells of the body and water. I did a test in regards to the agnisara kriya practice, which yogis are required to master. I was once told by Swami Rama that he who masters the agnisara kriya practice masters the Swarga angelic world and will pass beyond that place for sure after leaving the physical body. This same truth was validated to me by the Indra demigod who controls that heavenly place. Passing beyond Swarga is the mark of a siddha yogi or of a student siddha yogi who has the protection of a siddha hereafter.

Getting help while using the physical system is great but what about help hereafter. What is the guarantee that I will get assistance hereafter such that my subtle body will not impulsively be attracted to another woman’s womb for rebirth? To guarantee that one will not impulsively take another embryo one has to pass safety through the Swarga angelic world. This safeness does not mean that one may not relate to the people living in that place, but it means that in one’s subtle body there will be a resistant energy which will permit one to either pass that place as if it never existed or stay for a time in that place and then go higher.

A yogi is not into insulting demigods or angelic people who have vast psychic authority. Hence if he is asked to stay with them for a time, he may do so. There is an exception to this which was Mudgal the yogin who refused to go to see the Indra demigod but usually a yogi may not have the authority of Mudgal and his refusal to see Indra may result in him being condemned to take another embryo haphazardly.

Agnisara really means getting the gut under total control, so that the diet and the time of eating is controlled. More important than what you eat is when you eat, even though many students just do not understand this. Needing some conduit for their self-pride, they get hung up on what they eat. They feel superior to the others who might have a meat diet, who are carnivorous to a degree. Actually the feature which has to change is when you eat. What you eat also has important but it is not as essential to the inSelf Yoga™ practice as when you eat.

Yes, it is quite a question.

When do you eat?

I ran a test on my body. This is what I do before I recommend a process to anyone. I do not care if a scripture suggests something. If I do not or did not practice it, I do not like to recommend it. Before I teach it to others I want to be sure that it works for me at this time in history.

I ran a dual test on water consumption at the end of the day and at the beginning of the day. The end of the day test resulting in these conclusions:

  • Warm/hot water taken about two or three hours after the last meal will help the body by washing the kidneys and providing moisture which otherwise would be extracted from waste in the colon. However if this water is taken right before sleeping, then it will negatively impact dream recall and will interfere in any pratyahar practice which is done just before sleeping.

But why should a yogi be concerned with this. The reason is that a yogi is just as stingy as the meanest wealthy man who skimps every penny. Therefore a yogi cannot afford to lose any dream recall for any reason. He cannot afford to upset even in the smallest way his pratyahar practice before resting at the end of the day.

Obviously if you are just as greedy as a rich man, then you will not allow anything steal into the yoga practice. You will not wish to lose progress. Therefore you will be sure to drink that water early enough so that it is passed out of the body before you rest. This means that you will have to adjust your time of eating to facilitate that, just as stingy wealthy persons do whatever is necessary to gain one more penny.

Being stingy can be wonderful indeed!
