Senses / Reason ~ Separate Faculties

The sensual faculties and the reason ability are separate, even though they work in tandem, or in opposition, in the psyche. The core-self is also a totally separate part of the psyche which is usually influenced by the senses and/or the reason ability to execute the plans of the lifeforce kundalini.

Failure to sort these powers causes confusion in the matter of how to reduce the influences which prevail over the core-self and causes it to endorse behaviors which are not in its interest but which promote sensual involvements and saturations which damage the autonomy of the core-self.

Those yogis who regard the mind as one reality, as being homogenous, as being one, may be disinclined to discovering any duality or multiplicity of functions. They may regard everything which occurs in the mind as being from one feature in multi-facets. However those yogis who are into details, might discover that the mind has segments and functional parts which are similar to mechanical devices like what is below the hood of an automobile.

When the core-self is influenced to initiate or endorse a behavior, the method used to cease this interaction will vary for those yogis who can identity if it is the sense of reason or the sensual energies which are promoting the mento-emotional situation.

It is more precise to target the reasoning faculty if that is the main cause of a behavior, rather than give the mind a general treatment which is not designed specifically for quelling reason. If however the sensual energies are motivating a behavior which is reinforced by the sense of reason, then the core-self being at a disadvantage and being influenced by the majority energy in the psyche, would do well to sort which part of the influence comes from the sensual energies and which is derived from the sense of reason.
