selfLight

selfLight is the focus on the coreSelf as light rather than as a speck of existence personified. During that meditation the self which is always the subject which seeks objects, is realized and experienced as being an object, so that the focus is reversed where the subject which seeks objects becomes absorbed in itself as a singular object of pursuit.

The investigator investigates itself (himself/herself) in this experience. This is termed as atmayoga or personSelf with reverse interest, where its outgoing energy is either stilled in itself or is drawn into itself. When it is drawn into itself, it is part of pratyahar energy return practice. When it is stilled not going outward and not coursing inward, but is reflective on itself, it is terms as dharana or dhyana or samadhi with itself as the focus.

A common quest in meditation is the search for, focus on, and arrest of focus on lights which occur in the mind space or which are outside the mind space but are seen and targeted for focus. However, in selfLight meditation, the light which is the self, is realized as light subjectively. Instead of illuminating another object or perceiving another object, the self subjectively sees itself as an illuminating shining something. It blares on itself in the stillness of itself where it does not venture outward and does not retreat from anything but remains stilled as light emanating light.
