I did a Google search on the current cover art and found a write up on that particular Buddha statue.

***Jade Buddha Temple & Statue***
Jade Buddha Temple in Shanghai
The Jade Buddha Temple is located in western Shanghai. It was first built in 1882, and during the 1911 revolution to over throw the Qing Dynasty, the temple was destroyed. It was neglected until several years later, when it was rebuilt in the period of 1918 to 1928.
Originally, there were five Jade Buddhas brought back from Burma in 1882, by a monk named Huigen from Mount Putuo. The two remaining buddhas are still housed in the temple.
Jade Buddha Statue
The Jade Buddha Temple has three main halls: 1) Maitreya hall, 2) Daxiong Baodian, and 3) Sanshengdian. The first hall is where the four celestial kings and Maitreya are enshrined.
After Daxiong Baodian, you will reach the Jade Buddha Tower. The jade buddha here is carved from whole white jade. It is the seated statue of Sakyamuni, and stands at 1.9m tall and 1.34m wide - the jade buddha is sitting leisurely at the moment of his enlightenment.
********************************************************************************************************
In the temple is another lying buddha. The lying Buddha is 96cm long, lying on the right side with its hand supporting the head, and left hand is placed on the left leg. The calm face shows Sakyamuni's peaceful mood when he passed from this world.
