Psychedelic Honey ...

Deep in the caves of the Himalaya Mountains, a special species of bee exists which produces hallucinogenic honey.

    • So very special such bees! I wonder what schedule drug the US FDA will classify their nectar under. Especially, that they are producing sufficiently to go around, and even for export. It seems that the plants at the source of it produce certain toxins probably part of their defense mechanism, and the bees don't appear to have receptors for these chemicals or are somehow immune to them. The hallucinogenic manifestations may be a response of the human body to these chemicals and from the reactions described the muscular and nervous system are considered. These reactions include heart palpitations that can lead to cardiac arrest, muscular spasm and paralysis as well as tingling sensations at extremities.
