Practice this AM allowed for deep stretches behind the thighs and legs and the small of the back as well as the gluts were particularly targeted.

Meditation was short but allowed for listening to naad. Inside of palms and feet felt warm with tingling sensations.

Jettins 5 years ago

I like your dedication. I think you will find what you’re looking for.

unlimitedsun 5 years ago

Thank you for the encouragements. I have many great examples to be inspired by.

I am only posting these reports because I was in no uncertain terms contrived to do it by Michael. But if I were not posting, certainly by now I would have given up on the practice and simply complacently wait for things to get better and then pick up again. That has been my habit over many years.

Now it's just easier to at least attempt than think about what I would have to report should I not even try a very little bit out of the whole day.

I understood and accept that it will take me some months perhaps before I can again recapture previous momentum. This is on account of my chancy birth conjugated with the acceptance of being overwhelmed by external pressures.

As a result my practice is external, mainly going through the motions of physical yoga, I do not now possess the psychic charge required for decent breath of fire or even internal focus. Better kriya sessions are only possible for me as resulting from efforts on many fronts...

Practice this AM allowed for deep stretches.

Meditation was short but allowed for listening to naad and was a bit more focused.

Dream recollect is limited to some vague impressions of interaction with Michael.

Surya,

I admire your honesty and wish you well. I always review your reports carefully.

Thu 07/19/12

Practice this AM allowed for deep stretches and was followed by a short meditation session.

===============================

Fri 07/20/12

Practice this AM was largely compromised by assault of cold/flu virus.

===============================

Sat 07/21/12

Yoga practice allowed for deep and intense stretching. Kundalini was made to rise firmly.

More breath of fire would have gone quiet well with the session.

Meditation was more focused and somewhat better from recent days.

unlimitedsun 5 years ago

Hi Alfredo;

It is all only to the extent that I apply Gurus' instructions and in that, my dishonesty towards self is my big detriment. The path is so extensively long and time so fleetingly short that I feel sorry for myself for not being able to even keep up with the site. I am still trying and need to continue to assess my shortcomings at this time.

Alfredo 5 years ago

Brother Surya!

Please count your blessings. How many Yogis out there raise Kundalini with the ease that you do? Or have a Guru that cares about you, always ready to help?

We are all dishonest one way or another. Straight honesty is very rare.

Yes, the path is long and time a strict taskmaster, but this is the hand given to us, and we must press forward and finally overcome.

Hey, you come from a hardy race and a hardy place, Mali, let's summon (in the right manner, ha, ha) some of the Tuareg ancestors.

Yoga and meditation this AM was largely compromised by ailment as well as social stuff.

Dream recall consisted of mundane interaction.

MiBeloved 5 years ago

Dream recall is very important to keep track of what the subtle body does during the night while the physical one is sleeping.

You are responsible for what the subtle body does even if you do not recall anything about its activities.

So the least you can do is to be aware of what you will be accountable for.

Can you imagine robbing a bank while sleepwalking and then getting arrested and not even remembering anything about what you did during the sleep walk.

What the subtle body does matters and so to not remember dreams and to just be satisfied with that is the way of a real fool.

While kundalini is hung up repairing the physical body during the night, the astral body wanders off like a drunk old man who is looking for more liquor and other vices, so you should keep an eye on it and this is done by constantly making that effort to recall its astral stunts.

Don't put yourself down for remembering that it is just involved in social issues which have no spiritual value. Be proud of the fact that you remember anything at all. Appreciate that and move forward, because that is part of spiritual progression in kriya practice.

Yoga and meditation this AM were largely compromised by ailment as well as social pressure.

Dream recall consisted of mundane interactions. There was sexual implication that resulted in emission of seed, subsequent to a long standing much needed relief, sigh; the pangs of summer time in inner city life.

===============================

Tue 07/24/12

Yoga this AM was surprisingly a decent session in terms of stretching.

Kundalini was solicited to rise somewhat.

Dream recall consisted of mundane interactions.

Wed 07/25/12

Yoga and meditation this AM allowed for good stretches.

But meditation was curtailed by social demand.

Dream recall consisted of mundane interactions.

Yes, indeed brother Alfredo rare is such a boon upon one that was fallen so far as the dry land of Mali. But hopefully some advantage can be deduced from the mercy, or it is worse than not having have had the opportunity at all. I need all the encouragements I can get. Thank you.

Thu 07/26/12

This AM practice was surprisingly productive, some relatively deeper stretches.

The gluts are yielding, the tension from there seems to be decreasing, this is unexpected now.

Kundalini was solicited to rise solid 1/2 through the session. Meditation was curtailed by social pressure.

Fri 07/27/12

This AM practice allowed for a decent session. Getting over my cold/flu I was able to do more of a breathing.

Kundalini was solicited to rise less than 1/2 way into the practice. I felt strong waves of energy in the chest area and some in the head.

My heart raced for a few minutes as a result, and I did not attempt to push kundalini upwards for the remainder of the session.

Meditation was okay if more focused.

Subtle aspect was of a short lucid dream relating to a material detail of my current habitat.

Cold and flu should be prevented if possible by using some mild medicine and the very minimum dosage of it, otherwise blockage of nostrils and sinuses in this way definitely prevents breath infusion.

Each yogi should find a way to use some medicine to the very minimum so as to prevent colds and flu. In the winter season body should be given ample protection so that it does not react with ill-health due to exposure to cold air.

I used citrus fruit originally but I no longer use that unless I can get it as organic to the absolute degree. Citrus is no good if it is fertilized because the chemicals it draws might damage organs or produce cysts and fistulas.

Vitamin D can be used on a trial and error basis to see if one system can absorb the synthetic version. Some human bodies seem to be able to handle these chemicals safely.

Currently and as a last resort, I am using over the counter allergy medication of

diphenhydramine HCL 25 mg

at a dosage of 2 per day and up to five per day when I sense that a flu is coming on.

I have used this successful for some years now but I keep this to the very minimum.

Sat 07/27/12

This AM practice was challenged on account of a drained life force, due to family engagements.

Meditation was longer but not focused.

MiBeloved 5 years ago

A bad meditation session, one that was a flop for sure, is also cash in the bank of the yogi, as he gets the opportunity to realize that what he earned by hard practice can be obliterated in a second if he becomes linked to the wrong association.

As when there is a financial crash many people are hurt, lose money and some even commit suicide, bad association for a yogi results in a downgrade of meditation energy where the yogi just cannot seem to get his act together during the meditation session as he is besieged by low grade thought energy packages which shove him in a corner and put a knife into him.

But getting up from the scuffle, spitting blood and wobbling to regain his posture, the yogi should resume breath infusion practice, check with Bhgavad Gita and Yoga Sutras, review his careless behavior, understand that his progress can be reversed and move forward with that understanding.

Sat 07/29/12

This AM practice was not allowed the allotted time, on account of ill health, present living arrangement and family pressures.

Meditation was not attempted.

Dreams consisted of mundane items.

MiBeloved 5 years ago

If ill health prevents breath infusion practice, if discouragement and depressed state of mind prevents any meditation attempt, then one should at least do some reading of Bhagavad Gita or Yoga Sutras or a similar text.

Funny, because today I wasn't able to practice at all due from yesterday night till today having headaches and a lot of nausea, I was hardly able to sleep. Really feeling sick at my stomach. (not having any cold or fever)

Is it possible that this invaded me because of Breath Infusion? Maybe because I tried too hard? after all you make your body work hard, using more muscles and strength, for example, after more than 20 breaths you feel you need to use more power in your breaths, and neck and forehead starts to hurt a bit.. is that alright? Just to be on the safer side..

MiBeloved 5 years ago

Ichigo,

In my experience breath infusion can cause you to get colds, flu. This happens because if there are such viruses in the air, then the infusion of more air will result in more of the germs to enter the body if they are in the air which is around the body during the session.

This does happen.

As for headaches, I do not get those but you can get a headache from not applying neck lock to control how kundalini comes up into the head.

In all respects observe your practice and observe when an action of the practice produces a certain unwanted effect and then avoid that action in the future.

It does happen however that sometimes yoga is blamed for something which it is not the cause of but which was caused by something else which the yogi is not aware off.

Once I had a painful muscle pull in my shoulder. It took three months to get rid of it. It was so bad that moving my body from a reclined sleeping position in the morning was agonizing because the muscle involved in that movement in the neck and shoulder would get tightened and would pain like hell.

I suspected it was due to yoga asana postures but it was not.

I found this out months after when I began to use a double pillow and then it went away and then again when I went back to a single pillow, the pain came back. I then understood that it was because a certain muscle was being pulled during the sleeping position of the physical body when my head and neck were not properly elevated during sleep.

Look, yoga as with everything else requires vigilance. You have to pay attention and do what is needful to maintain a healthy body.

      Jettins 5 years ago

I put a 3 inch memory foam on top of my mattes it helped increase the quality of my sleep, especially if a person sleeps sideways because it allows for better contouring around the shoulder area to support more evenly.

      Have a great day!

      Mon 07/30/12

Yoga was not allowed its allotted time, on account of ill health, and extreme family as well as work pressures.

      Comments:

I made an appointment to my physician since a simple cold/flu ought to have left the body by now. That should provide some band aid solution.

The root cause is not being eradicated. My current trend of life is so abusive to my system as a whole that it has made it vulnerable to a variety of ailments.

I have maintained and persisted in spite of the pressures for quiet sometime, and even amazed myself of the accomplishment; but alas I have now succumbed.

I am not able to eliminate this circumstance, nor was I able to prevent it even though I foresaw it and made attempts to reduce its impact or even minimize it; I am "under lock and key".

This will go on for some time still...but it will come to pass as well, until the next wave. So it is with my karma.

      ===============================

Ichigo, it is good that you are not experiencing any cold or fever (when you wrote), but because of the persistent stomach pains, along with nausea and headaches do you think that you just got a stomach virus?

      Pool 5 years ago

I didn't had stomach pains, it was more a kind of sick feeling and a lot of headaches. Sometimes they come and go, or they just sit on me most of the time.

Yesterday it was the last day I had still a bit of nausea left not as much as 2 days ago, though I wanted to give my body some more rest anyway. It hurts skipping practice even if it's just for 1 day, but maybe it's for the best.

It was probably some kind of virus, there were many people who had fever and cold where I work so it's more likely it's because of that.. but it could have been much worse, so I am thankful that it's not more than that.

Now I am feeling much better, so I will resume Breath Infusion again.

I always thought that Breath Infusion can prevent cold flu because of the removal of toxins and such of the body, but I guess it makes sense that you can also get them when you inhale such amount of air into the body.

Generally I was just a little bit paranoid if Breath Infusion can damage/affect the lungs, abdomen or any other part to have got that result.. but it has been more than 1 month that I am doing Breath Infusion without any problems so it seems very unlikely.

EDIT: 2 Days that I didn't do Breath Infusion I did Spinal Breathing (but probably not effective if you don't keep up with it every day)

      MiBeloved 5 years ago

      Ichigo,

It is highly unlikely that breath infusion will damage the lungs. The muscle that is involved is the diaphragm. Do an internet search on diaphragm and study how it operates to get some understanding of what is happen physically during breath infusion.

The other thing is that the lungs operate on the principle of accepting and rejecting fresh air and releasing or retaining used air. You may breathe in the air but that does not mean that the lungs are accepting all of it. It may not be. If you have tuberculosis even if they put you in a chamber with the best machine filtered air, still your lungs will reject the air and not accept it even though it is available. So the lungs have a mind of their own.

By doing the infusion though this situation of the lungs may be influenced to where the lung cells change their attitude and absorb more air than they usually do.

Breath infusion does remove chemical gaseous pollution but may not release bacteria or virus. Those micro entities remain in the body and are not necessarily released. What are released physically by breath are mostly chemicals. If someone has TB, then if you are near to that person you can contact it because their lungs will release spores of it but it is not that it is releasing those spores and freeing the TB patient.

No, it only releases excess spores and spores which cannot find residency in the body of the patient because that body is filled with TB spores already.

The release of chemical toxins in a gaseous form through infusion does not necessarily help with getting rid of the bad viruses, bacteria and the like. For that matter the bacteria, some of them may like the fresh air just as well.

Criminals like money and so do law-abiding citizens. Criminals like food, they like sunny days and so on. Bad people or criminals like good things too.

So do not form any assumptions without keeping this in mind.

Yoga was possible this AM. My body was hard to stretch, and breathing was challenged.

Meditation was short as well as unfocused.

Comment: As we approached Manhattan on a family trip over the weekend, I thought that the car ahead of me in the tunnel was emitting, some harsh chemically charged air. But as we drove and walked around I could distinctly feel a discomfort breathing the air in Manhattan. When we left later at night I was not uncomfortable any more, this happened on our way back to Maryland driving through another gentrified city as well. I lived in NY City for years, but I guess my ridding of toxins from my body made me more sensitive to detecting their presence in my system.
