Practice Report: Third Eye Visual

Ive been working with the third eye visual recently during practice.
I started seeing it as a child. My mom would stand me on a chair and wash my hair in the sink.
I'd squeeze my eyes closed so the shampoo wouldn't get in and wonder what the bright green fluorescent donut was i'd see.
I've continued seeing it throughout my life, usually while washing my hair, eyes squeezed and there it is.
So I've been doing breath infusion into it toward the end of my morning practice. Instead of straining my eyes with the squeezing I've been using my fingers to press on the eyeballs and this also works to instigate it into my internal visual field. I sometimes also include blocking my ears with my thumbs, and then I have an auditory component where im hearing the internal sounds of the breathing and that seems to add something nice.
Here's a snap of the hand position:
And here is what it initially looks like once it coagulates:
It's very nebula like, so that's what I looked up when I decided to attempt describing it, then edited it a little and this is really close to just how it looks.
In the black background there is a little more action, some pixelated energy that sort of seems to feed into the green, but the background is black.
After a few moments of this, a spray paint like effect takes place where an ice-y blue color appears on one side of the eye and begins to fill in the whole eye, going in both directions all the way around, with the precision of a perfect spray paint. It becomes even more defined at this time. It looks a lot like this.
The whole thing is just beautiful really.
For now, Im trying to relate to it, communicate with it, feed it with the breath infusion and just pay a new kind of attention to it.
I'll be waiting to see what happens.

Very nice explanation! Thank you.
In the video of my practice I submitted recently, you can see that I am doing exactly the same posture you show on the 1st picture while in siddhasana, with both eyes and ears plugged while doing breath infusion. This routine is called "Yoni Mudra" in Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Lahiri Mahasaya adopted it practically unchanged into his Kriya Yoga routine, some followers renaming it "Jyoti Mudra", jyoti for light. As such, it is still one of the cornerstone of that lineage's Kriya Yoga, thus blessed Swami Hariharananda explained it to me.
Its main purpose, as you rightly pointed out, is to propitiate Naad and "Divine Light" perception at the same time.
The second picture depicts a result of the enervation produced by this Mudra, the graduations in colors varying, for in my case, the green is mostly orange, but the diagram is exactly the same. Some might say this is the 3rd eye, others the signature of the brow chakra.
This diagram you illustrated and similar others are entertained pictorially in Michael's "Meditation Pictorial" book.
The whole thing is indeed beautiful, really.
What can happen? The 3rd eye might open. When this occurs this is a yogic or mystic accomplishment of the highest order. It is very difficult, but for sure it won't happen if one tries to will it.
The 3rd eye opening is so grand because it opens the vision into other dimensions and it is used as an astral projection tool. Alas, it is astral projection par excellence.
Michael has advised me to, during meditation, and staying with Naad on the back of the head, observe the 3rd eye, but not with much expectancy.
Even for a Mahayogi like Michael, there have been periods in his life when the 3rd eye would not open.
The 3rd eye opens easily in drug-induced trances, such as peyote, ayahuasca, and such, thus the paintings you see from some of the shamans under that influence. Here, this painting I once made, represents one of those 3rd eye opening opportunities:
Of course, the idea is that the 3rd eye will open into a higher astral dimension and not a lower one as the one depicted on the pic above.
On occasions I have had visions in which thousands of pages of text, mostly in English, sometimes in Sanskrit, show up and I can read them, and this could occur for hours at night while awaken. The texts in English are always in a weird grammatical arrangement that, although legible, does not conform to the rules of grammar, and every time it had happened to me, it is like that, I don't know why.

Hello Alfredo,

Neo_Yogi's Response:
And what are all those pages about?

Nothing, nonsense practically.
Those in Sanskrit, very few, which I recognized, I could not read.
Those in English, I could not only perfectly read, but also write on them, but, again, the grammar was weird, and for much I tried to fix the grammar, I could not.
What is that? I don't know.
The background was white light and the text was perfectly readable.
Mind you, it is not easy to affirm that this was a 3rd-eye opening, for there are other mystic visions that occur in the same location, such as a buddhi (intellect) organ vision, which perhaps was closer the source than the other.

Thank you so much Alfredo Yogiji~
I really appreciate this feedback.
I'm very glad to know now not to be willful about it. I keep peering through the center hole waiting to see something, looking looking...I will relax and let things be.
this seems very important now that you mention it...
and you are a really good artist.
Sure wish I could draw like that~~~
thanks again~
