Physical Astral World

Even though we may partition this existence into two, one being the physical world and the other being a psychic existence which is termed as the astral or subtle world, still between these there is a border region which I term as the physical astral location. This is where most deceased people find themselves to be during the interim period after losing a physical body and being stalled while waiting to be a child of somebody.

In that physical astral place, people usually create for themselves a place which is similar or is an exact copy of the residence and environs in which they lived before. There they continue life just as if they were still on the physical side, with the same habits and associations. They meet living people there by meeting those physical people’s astral forms which seem to them to be physical bodies. This reassures the deceased persons that they are still existing, as their idea of existence has to do with physical reference only.

In that deceased place, those hereafter people request that obligations be fulfilled by other deceased people and by people who still have physical bodies. In one experience with some deceased people, someone asked me to build a table and seat. I was requested to paint the furniture with astral paint. I complied. The person who requested these cervices was an elder to me in his last body during the time when my present physical body was in the juvenile years. He had this feeling that I was his dependent then and should continue as a servant to him under that obligation.

For a yogi, doing these services, completing these obligations, does relieve the social pressure and ease the mind, so that in meditation there is less resistance energy present and less resentment force clashing which prevent the yogi from reaching deep states of consciousness.

If anyone can service an obligation astrally and ease tensions in the mid, that is all to his advantage. In that respect the physical astral realm is useful to a yogi. If he services obligations there, he can cancel those tasks making them ineffective as demanding force for him to take another physical body, merely to fulfill physical obligations.
