Outside the Rebirth Loop
A yogi should properly analyze what his position will be immediately hereafter. His estimation is vital so that you can act in the present to derive the results in the hereafter, that he desires and can achieve.
It is not what he desires. It is what he desires which is the practical part of what he could achieve. Everyone may wish for the very best future for himself/herself. Still, one should leave that aside, and be realistic. One has to contend with reality. It may not synchronize with what one desires, which one cannot achieve. Nature simply may not endorse one’s plans.
It is best to properly estimate the part of one’s desires which Nature will endorse and support. One should focus on what Nature will allow. One should leave aside what it would neglect.
As it is currently, my advice for myself, and for other yogis, is to plan to stay outside of physical existence, to stay in an astral dimension as a psychic being, and to ardently practice the ashtanga yoga stringently there. Work for success to relocate to a psychic domain, where one can advance the practice.
Do not plan to reach a place of siddhas directly after this physical existence. Instead, plan on staying on the astral side, the way that one does now, except to stay there with no return access to the physical world.
The only physical access one may have from that astral place, would be periodic and very restricted contact with people who are physical.
One has to curb the diet and the subtle body’s need for subtle energy from physical food. The subtle body has a habit which is unwanted but which is rooted in it, where it craves subtle energy from physical substance. One can derive subtle energy from the psychic side without having to get it from a physical body. To change the need for physical-derived subtle energy, one has to curb the diet while one has a physical body. One should strive to change the subtle body, so that it has no need for physically-based subtle food. Once that it achieved, one can hereafter, avoid the physical side, avoid taking rebirth.
There are other withdrawals which one must achieve. Like for instance, the need for sexual participation. That need has to be curtailed. If possible, before the death of the physical body, one should terminate it. Its root will still be there in the subtle body but it will be like an onion bulb. It cannot sprout unless some moisture is detected by it. If it is a desiccated place, it will remain alive but it will not sprout.
Currently under the direction of Yogeshwarananda and Babaji Mahayogin, I have not found a method of causing steady ongoing divine eye development. We determined that this is because of the environment which is not conducive to the expression of and use of the divine eye, at least not on a steady basis. The divine eye is operative but not on a grand scale, only sporadically. As a visual tool it is not available. As an intuition and hollow indistinct perception, it is. That is not sufficient.
A yogi will have to plan to complete the processes hereafter on the astral side, near this physical place. That is my conclusion at this stage.
