No Subtle Digestion Apparatus

Sir Paul Castagna who is deceased, questioned me about something he noticed about the subtle forms of some yogis who were on the verge of assuming yoga siddha subtle bodies in the astral domains. He said:

At first when I got to know these yogis, I felt I could assume their practice and stay with them. I was not aware of the different construction of the inside of their subtle bodies. Later when I tried to follow them as they ascended, I reached a grey zone, which they passed through rapidly but I could not get beyond it. At that place, I lost track of them even though I was confident that I would resume their association if I could pass beyond the grey energy.

Somehow after that happened, I returned here where I could communicate with you. Right then I was inspired to know that the inners of their subtle bodies were different to that of my own, that I had the need for digestion of food. They did not have a configuration which would cause the formation of a physical digestive organs in a gross body.

It seems to me now that the stress on celibacy is misleading because celibacy or no celibacy, if one has the digestive mechanism in the subtle body, then one will take rebirth on that basis. That tendency in the subtle body is itself a preventative for going higher. How do I rid this subtle form of that tendency?

My reply is:

Master the agnisara discipline but do so for the subtle body. Do not be concerned with mastering it for the physical system. It can be mastered for the present physical body and still not be completely removed from the subtle form. There is in the subtle body energies which will later produce a stomach, higher intestines, colon and rectum. That system should be removed. The main process for this is pranayama breath-infusion. The yogi must slowly terminate the need for physical nourishment. That takes time to accomplish as it is rooted out in a slow retraction of the tasting sense.

When I said this Sir Paul had a flash of a woman’s breast. I told him that this was related because every child is born with a dependence on breast feeding. It is a natural impulse. A yogi should research the need for this suckling. It is an all-surrounding ever-present tendency in these creations.
