No Sex -- No Kundalini?

In meditation this morning there was an energy spike which came through the back part of the neck and then it punched through the back part of the subtle head and went off into subtle space.

At first I tuned into naad sound which was on the left side back area, but as soon as I did that I noticed the energy spike which happened because of the intensive breath infusion just before the meditation. I linked (dharana) into that energy spike. This developed into effortless linkage (dhyana) and then into a samadhi or effortless continuous linkage.

This samadhi was subjective which means that reporting on it is impossible. I can over time if I repeatedly enter a subjective state, get objective about it and report.

There was something which happened during the meditation though which I recalled just now. Sometime during that samadhi, I found myself in a subtle realm speaking to Srila Yogeshwarananda. He was explaining that the whole idea of the sushumna kundalini arousal is based on sexual indulgence. He claims that the kundalini yoga system was developed by advanced yogis who were sexually active and who had to work from that basis to attain their enlightenment. He then challenged like this,

“Remove sex and then there is no kundalini. It is all over. It is finished!”

Can you explain this further? How about all the recommendations about celibacy in your books, and the efforts to raise the Kundalini in that state?

If sex energy is what the student yogi has, then that is what he or she will have to use initially. However, as soon as that is out of the way, the real progress can begin.

Patanjali also admitted that initially one has to begin from that perspective, being motivated by material nature but in the long term that will have to change:

तदश्चऩ फश्चहयङ्गां श्चनफजस्य॥८॥

tadapi bahiraṅgaṁ nirbăjasya

But even that initial mastership of the three higher stages of yoga, is external in reference to meditation, which is not motivated by the mento-emotional energy. (Yoga Sutra 3.6)

Meaning that initially all progress is actually the result of motivations of material nature and that will ultimately have to change for real progress to begin.

I just read this yesterday, "The Edgar Cayce Companion" Chapter, Endocrine System:

        Q. You will give at this time a discourse on the endocrine glands of the human organism, discussing their functions in relation to the physical body and their relations to the mental and spiritual forces.

          A.  The. Spiritual contact is through the glandular forces of Creative energies, not encased only within the Leyden gland of reproduction, for this is ever so-- as life exists--in contact with the brain cells through which there is the constant reaction through the pineal.  

Leyden (Leydig) meaning sealed, that gland from which gestation takes place when a body is created through inception, located in and above the gland called genital gland see?  The Leyden, is the keeper as it were of the door, that would loose and let either passion or the miracle to be loosed to enable those seeking to the open door, or the way to find expression in the imaginative forces in their manifestation in the sensory forces of a body; whether to fingertips that would write, to eyes that would see, to a voice that would speak, to the whole of the system as would feel those impressions that are attuned with those of the infinite by their development and association or those inter-between or those passed over, or as to the unseen forces......hence that the pineal and the Leydig are the seat of the soul of an entity. 

I'm glad you shared this, since I have been trying to make sense of a dream I had several months ago, it was an entity seducing me and said "take me to your tent" I asked "how?" he replied "sooner or later". People say don't look into the dream but ask myself what did It feel like. Feeling, at that time in my waking state, I just didn't want to be here, so to my reasoning as I asked him, "how" because I wanted him to take me with him.

I feel like I am missing out on some interesting and useful information. I will get through Michael's books at some point.  I am having information overload at times.
