Naad Mantra Connect

This is from practical experience of one yogi but it may not work for another person. One should always hold things in reserve just in case a method is proven to be the exception.

I use the mantra om namah shivaya (om namo shivaya) during meditation on occasion, not always. When that mantra is used, I noticed that it immediately links my attention to the naad sound, such that I become released from the mantra and attached in its place to naad resonance.

This happened frequently so much so that I took notations about it. After some years of using it to instantly connect to naad or to let it remind me to connect to naad, I noticed recently in the year of 2017, that if I listened to naad, sometimes suddenly, naad will push me out of its zone. As soon as I am out of its zone, I am presented within with the om namo Shivaya mantra. This means that it is one of the other. Either I am in naad resonance or I am internally out of naad but in the influence of om namo Shivaya.

This is like two sides of a coin. If you see one side, you usually do not see the other. If you flip the coin you see the other side while losing the perception of the other.

This experience is that for this person specifically and not necessary for others, the benefit of mentally chanting om namo shivaya is instant connection with naad. Om namo shivaya may appear to the yogi during attempts at meditation when the yogi is hypnotized by thought patterns. Then the mantra will appear before the yogi to remind him to connect with naad.
