Memory/Intellect: Abrasive Contact

The memories are in various chambers in the psyche, in the subtle body. These things are sectioned off in psychic membranes. They are released orderly or haphazardly according to the situation and the stimulations from the environment.

If I asked you to take everything in your house and push it all into one room in a haphazard way, you will hesitate to do it, thinking that I am disorderly or crazy. But if I ask you to sort everything in your mind, in your emotion, in your psyche, you may also consider me to be crazy or unreasonable. Why is this?

Why do we command so much order in the external world but are careless and downright ignorant in reference to the introspective mechanisms?

In one meditation recently, I had the opportunity to observe the relationship between involuntary memories and the intellect. This is with the assumption that the intellect is a psychic organ just as the pituitary gland is a physical organ in the brain.

During that meditation the entire headspace of the subtle body was vacant of thoughts and images. What was present was a large space in the frontal part of the subtle head, a core-self, the naad sound resonance, and then down in the subtle body in the trunk of it was sensual energies in a random configuration. There were no thoughts. I was just about to begin the meditation session and then I noticed something like a bubble rising up through the chest of the subtle body. It kept rising and then it made contact with the intellect but as it did so the intellect had the inclination to rub itself against that memory bubble.

By intuition I immediately stopped the intellect from doing that and then the bubble disappeared. There was no expansion of it into images and ideas.

Later I realized that the intuition was actually not an intuition but was a kriya which was inspired into my mind by Siddha Swami Nityananda.

This experience caused me to report that the abrasive contact between the intellect and a memory causes the expression and expansion of that energy and produces a force which hypnotizes the core-self so that it becomes involved in the package energy of the memory and it becomes distracted by that.

If the yogi can effectively command the intellect to remain still and not to interact abrasively the memory energy will expand no further and instead it will disappear.
