Memory Connect Arrest
Babaji Mahayogin instructed a kriya as part of divine eye development. Some mystic actions require antecedents. That means that if one practices a particular technique when one did not master other methods prior, one may not get the result intended. A full pratyahar practice proficiency is required for this method. This is also not the final technique but this practice which I will divulge below has the experience as described, as verification that it is functional.
If during meditation, one can hold this practice for a time, and for a while day after day, there will be progressive developments from which other processes will evolve. The yogis who succeeded with divine eye development, and who left sparse and scattered instruction, may have left partial instructions only. Thus, if one follows the fragmented instructions which were written or which came from their disciples, one will not succeed, merely because those ideas are incomplete.
Babaji’s memory arrest kriya process, begins with a full session of bhastrika/kapalabhati breath infusion. That is aggressive breathing in a single or in several postures (asanas). The idea is to draw out from the physical system, every molecule of carbon dioxide which is in the body. As this happens, the same will apply to the subtle body, by extraction of all polluted subtle air (apana).
As this occurs, there will be extraction of negative used energy, and there will be ingestion of fresh air in the physical body, and fresh subtle energy in the subtle one. This is required to cause the subtle body to shift to a higher frequency and to cause the physical body to be in a state where it places the least demands on the subtle form, where it extracts the least attention from the coreSelf.
Step one (1), as stated above is a complete extraction of subtle stale energy and injection or replacement of subtle fresh energy. This means in every part of the subtle body, not just in the chest area, nor just in any other area. This may require doing the breath infusion in various postures (asanas). The yogi should be so proficient in doing breath infusion, that he can direct the ingested energy to attach and saturate every part of the subtle body. This is an aggressive scrubbing of every part, so that it yields used energy and accepts fresh anergy.
Once the yogi notices that this is completed. He should shift to focus on the kundalini life force. so that it becomes dedicated to focusing in the head of the subtle body. With the rest of the body cleared of low level energy, the yogi should shift to the chakras which are in the head of the subtle body, in what is usually termed as the mind of the person.
There should be breath infusion to the center of the eyebrows. This should be done while pressing on the eyelids and directing the infused breath energy to that location. Then if lights are seen there, random or defined light, the yogi should push the infused energy through the center of the energy. When he is satisfied that he did that sufficiently, he should focus on the top part of the head, the crown chakra. He should direct the infused energy there. Then again, he should infuse energy where there is a connection of the energy of the brow chakra and the crown chakra.
When that is done sufficiently, he should switch to direct energy to the top back of the head. Then to the lower back part of the head. Then she should check the head in every part, to determine if any part lacks fresh energy.
During this practice there should be full attention within the head. No attention should be to any sense object outside the body. After completing the entire head, he should sit to meditate. That is the second step (2) of the practice. He should be in a place that is free of distractions, especially from visual and audial distractions. This is required for full efficiency. If there are distractions, some energy (mental and emotional) will rush to find the source of the distractions. This will reduce the power of the yogi to arrest subtle objects.
The yogi should examine the condition of the mind to be sure that everything is in order and that no blatant thoughts are flashing and compelling the mind. He should examine to see if the brow and/or crown chakra have any visibility. More than likely, there will be some minor visibility. The yogi should detect memory. This will be memory from the boyhood/girlhood stage of the body, memory from the early part of the current life, prior to puberty. There should be the coreSelf with a thin thread of energy which goes downward to a memory. That event will be visible but it will be a flimsy reality. The yogi should hold the connecting thread.
Attempts should be made day after day to hold that connection energy which is between the coreSelf and the memory. The memory may not show but the thread will be seen. It will be like a thin thread of light. The yogi should hold it. That holding power is itself the intellect. That is the psychic equipment which is known as buddhi or intellect. That is part of the divine eye apparatus. Holding it steady is a process of developing the divine eye.
