Kundalini ~ Unconventional Arousals
The convention is that kundalini is aroused through the subtle spine in a passage which is known as the sushumna nadi mainline of spinal transit. This actually happens upon provocation of a yogi, who can infuse breath energy into the subtle body and direct that energy to assault kundalini at its habitat which is the muladhar base chakra.
As the breath energy spreads from the lungs, as it is infused by doing bhastrika/kapalabhati pranayama, it eventually reaches the groin area, where it mixes with sexual energy. This gives it a special charge which makes it aware of the kundalini at the base chakra. That infused energy once it accumulates a sufficient charge assaults the kundalini in a vicious attack which is like a lightning strike. Kundalini for its part once it is hit by this charged of energy, attempts to move in one direction or the other. It would preferably move towards a tiny hole which is at the base chakra, or it may move into the sexual organs and cause stimulation there.
If however the yogi applies locks, especially the anus and sex area locks, kundalini’s prompt to transit to those locations will be blocked. It will then use the upward passage through the subtle spine into the brain. This is how conventional kundalini arousal spreads.
However, there is another system of unconventional kundalini rises. This occurs when cells burst in unison to release their individual kundalini charges in a specific part of the body.
Breath-infusion in this case is focused into the digestive track release of nutrients. Instead of targeting the sexual hormones, the yogi focuses the breath-infusion to mix with energy which is released from the digestive track. This energy does not have sex hormone charge because it was not processed through the sex organ apparatus.
During a session of bhastrika pranayama breath infusion, on the morning of October 28, 2017, I experienced a usual arousal which had nothing to do with the conventional spinal kundalini experience. In this instance, there was a burst of white-cloud light in the chest and forearms. This yielded a mild bliss which was released in streaks and bubbles, like bubbles rising from the bottom of a pot of slowly boiling water.
The key to these experiences is high sensitivity. Many such experiences will be unobserved by the yogi if he can only perceive large and obvious rushes of bliss experience, as for instance in the conventional spinal kundalini arousal. The yogi must develop the sensitivity to notice small micro-energy releases. This will free him from focusing on the conventional spinal kundalini and will make him perceive kundalini in other applications.
