Kundalini Routes through Neck

The well-known route of kundalini through the neck is through the center of the spine. This is the sushumna nadi passage. When kundalini is aroused in the conventional way it passages through the back part of the neck where the vertebrae are located. It may transit on the left and right side alternately as it passes through each of the spinal chakras after it leaves the muladhar base chakra and courses upwards.

Kundalini usually expresses itself through the chakras but when a yogi effectively blocks these expressions and is successful in arousing kundalini, it is forced to pierce through the spine up through the neck into the brain.

After kundalini leaves the neck and breaks out into the brain, it pauses for a short or long time depending on how energized it is. If it had very little energy, it will burst from the neck into the base of the brain for a split second. Then it will resume itself in the spine and subside downward back to muladhar chakra.

If it has much energy, it will look around to discover a sensual attraction. Then it will move towards whatever it discovers. It may discover the buddhi intellect orb, or the brow chakra or the crown chakra. According to the discovery, it will immediate pilot itself to that feature. This action of kundalini will cause a particular kind of bliss experience for the yogi.

Besides this well-known route through the sushumna nadi, there are other routes used by kundalini to get into the head of the subtle body. To discuss one other such route, the definition of kundalini must be changed. While spinal kundalini is a collective power, a governor of the entire body, there are cell kundalinis. These are micro charges of energy which are so tiny as to be hardly observable, except if they are regarded collectively.

When there is a group of these micro-kundalinis which do not contribute their energy charge to the collective spinal kundalini, these micro-kundalinis can be observed by the yogi. These can be expressed and handled without having to use the sushumna nadi. The charge of these can be brought through the neck into the brain. These do not use the same sushumna nadi passage. Their burst into the brain is from a different location. Their effect on consciousness is also difference. Their bliss charge is more of a neutral flavor as compared to spinal kundalini, which gives an experience which is more reminiscent of sex climax experience.
