Invitation for Rebirth
In the Yoga Sutras, there is a warning for yogis regarding where they might be invited into but which might not be to their ultimate good. An interesting aspect of this is that some of this happens during life but many of the students are not psychically sensitive enough to even know that it occurs. Thus they cannot do a thing to accelerate astral passage or to deter it.
Many students are hyped up about this and about that when in fact their real concern should be their psychic sensitivity because after all no matter what you can or cannot see, if you do not perceive day to day subtle incidences which are of the utmost concern to you, then what is the use of quoting from books like Yoga Sutras. What you do not perceive will happen and you will not stop it.
The first act is to know through direct perception, not by hearing from an authority or from reading a book. Hearing and reading are useful but are not the first step in experiencing. Once you experience, you can check to see if you can do something about it. Why bother with what another person sees which is so degrading for that person, when what you cannot see about yourself is the real issue.
The vision of insight has to be directed back to the self for a long enough period and consistently enough that it develops inSelf perception regarding the very self. It should be clean-cut with no observational focus and critical considerations to others.
Of course if you are a teacher, then it would be your business to know what your students do or do not perceive but otherwise why have an interest in any other yogi (yogini). Increased interest in other students may cause a proportionate decrease interest in the self with dire consequences of self-neglect and rampant arrogance in relation to others, where the mind becomes expert in hatcheting others while unknowingly beefing up its defects.

In meditation many visions are given. There are many insights but the student may miss most of these and feel that they never occurred. If something happens and I do not see it, I do not grasp it. For me it never occurred. My impatience might get the better part of me, even, where I abandon meditation thinking that it is useless and ineffective.
How to be patient?
How not to desire overnight results?
How to know that for me, meditation can pay off only after many days, months, years or lives of practice?
How not to compare myself with others?
How to have confidence and practice even if I think I am getting nowhere?

Some of these posts are criticized by students, like for instance posts which have a hint about sexual life or those which state it directly. Usually this information causes a backlash from some students, who either feel that I should not divulge such information or that I am too indulgent with sensuality.
However, I keep writing. I brace myself for the bad feelings and violent reactions which will come for sure.
Sometimes during meditation one gets signals of invitations for rebirth. These come in various ways but their importance is that the yogi gets an opportunity before he is evicted from the body to face up to offers for rebirth which he will be given as soon as he leaves the material body for good.
Is this bad or good?
Should the yogi avoid these?
Should the yogi not have these because he is a holy man and should not be involved in any type of sexuality?
Are all ascetics having these even though some may not declare or may not even realize these occurrences?
There was a time during my meditation sessions where I would see many females nude in the astral existence. This would occur at a specific time during the meditation; not randomly but at a specific time, day after day. It would be after the first part of meditation when I observe the effects of the breath infusion practice. Usually there was a lull period after this observation. Then it would happen for about three to five minutes. I would see the nude torso of one female after another. This would be mostly from the neck down to the knees or from the head down to the knees. These female beings would be floating in space.
Would I be invoking these visions?
No! But they would occur anyway just as other scenes and dimensional events happen without being caused by the yogi.
These forms would be semi-transparent, where one could see through these bodies on one hand and then also see them as being opaque on the other hand. In some meditations, I would be at a lower level such that my eye level would be horizontally lined up with the place where the two thighs of the astral being would meet.
These visions are very important for a yogi if he (she) can perceive them because if they happen but there is no perception of them, then it means that the yogi may hereafter be drawn into a rebirth without seeing beforehand on the astral planes that it may happen. He will not even have the chance to be indifferent to the opportunities as Patanjali suggested.
On being invited by a person from the place one would attain if the body died, a yogi should be non-responsive, not desiring their association and not being fascinated, otherwise that would cause unwanted features of existence to arise again. (Yoga Sutras 3.52)
To execute Patanjali’s instruction one has to at least perceive the vision. How can you dodge something if you do not even have the chance to see it coming at you?
Each of those astral females which I saw for a period of months in meditation were possibilities for rebirth and were invitations for becoming an embryo.
Listen carefully because I want to alert my critics that before you hack away at this as further evidence of my interest in sexual concerns, this post is for those who can use this positively. If you had to read this because it was posted and you feel abandoned or aggravated, then that is a risk I took. I am braced for the consequences of vicious attack energies which are to follow. What is natural is natural, and every being, including me, has to deal with mento-emotional assaults.

The itch and the scratch about what Patanjali said above is that he did not state how that invitation would come and in what format. The so called good people think that it will be an angel dressed in white covered from head to foot, certainly not nude and pin-pointed towards genitilia. They have no idea how that will be rendered except that they feel it would not be sexual and would not offend their moral standards.
But is that the case?
In the Tibetan Book of the Dead, there are descriptions of rebirth invitees seeing others in sexual embrace indulging just before those astral invitees take forms as embryos of the sexually indulgent physical beings?
I guess we could just stop the astral world from happening and make it confirm to our moral stipulations and make it do what is palatable and approved by our little hearts and minds.
Good luck spiritual seekers!
