inSelf Searchlight

Yogeshwarananda said that besides using the third eye and the intellect for supernatural vision, there is the use of the inSelf searchlight which is a direct beam of light from the sense of identity to parts of the subtle body. I checked this to be sure. It seemed that it is a beam from the sense of identity and not from the intellect. It is definitely not from the third eye.

Instead of peering into other dimensions, the yogi peers down into the subtle body and uses the light to research what is in the subtle body.  I was unable to move the light around but it should be moved by the yogi so that he can see the internal parts of the subtle body.

We can assume that as one uses this light eventually one will develop the ability to move it. This happens in all cases for example in the case of physical vision from the newborn, where initially there is no vision, then there is some vision in black and white and then there is vision in color with some control which develops into more control as the body grows. This information about infants is from the scientific community based on studying the retina and other parts of the eyeball as the infant grows.

When I applied the focus of the attention beam from the sense of identity down into the subtle body, I saw a bright white light like a xenon light so that I could see a part in the subtle body. I did not recognize the specific part, however. It seems to be some subtle muscle in the lower part of the trunk.

Apparently, I saw this because of Yogeshwarananda’s mystic assistance. It was seen for about four seconds only but was distinct and clear, beyond any doubt.

Is this the same as using the divine eye, as for example where after enlightenment, Buddha said that he ranged the world with the divine eye and assessed the eligibility of the human beings for his process and information?

I cannot say that it is or that it is not because he did not give details as to which specific vision he used on that occasion. There is more than one type of divine or supernatural perception.
