inPsyche Divine Perception

Divine or supernatural perception from within the subtle body usually occurs in the subtle head, through either the brow or crown chakra. The brow chakra access into the supernatural or divine environments is the conventional way. It is mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita. However these perceptions can occur anywhere within the psyche or subtle body, if that form has energized high-level energy.

Kundalini arousal is necessary for this to happen but it might be spontaneous or involuntary, even though it is preferred that the yogi do pranayama breath infusion and raise kundalini by that action.

Conventional kundalini concerns moving kundalini through the sushumna central passage into the brain where kundalini attacks the brow and crown chakras. However for it to do this, kundalini must also challenge the intellect which is a psychic organ in the subtle head. The reason why divine perception through the brow chakra third eye is stressed is that this area of the subtle head is easily infused with a high subtle energy which permits the third eye to be activated where it can afford divine or supernatural perception.

However if the yogi can arouse cell kundalini in all parts of the subtle body, any part of that form becomes capable of providing the divine perception. If during meditation the yogi is in lower trunk or in a thigh, he will get the divine perception there. This hints at the possibility of transforming the entire subtle body, not just the head of it, into a super-subtle body with divine access from within the form itself.

In this explanation I used psyche as subtle body and subtle body as psyche. The divine perception would occur within this psyche, and not by peering out of it as one would through the two eyes of the subtle body, but peering into its intellect anywhere inside the subtle body and seeing into supernatural or spiritual dimensions. When the core self moves here or there within its psyche, the intellect moves with it remaining at a particular psychic distance from it. There is no need to move the intellect because it will move around following the core-self here or there within the psychic casing of the subtle body.

Here is a related verse from Bhagavad Gita.

प्रयाणकाले मनसाचलेन

भक्त्या युक्तो योगबलेन चैव ।

भ्रुवोर्मध्ये प्राणमावेश्य सम्यक्

स तं परं पुरुषमुपैति दिव्यम् ॥८.१०॥

prayāṇakāle manasācalena

bhaktyā yukto yogabalena caiva

bhruvormadhye prāṇam āveśya samyak

sa taṁ paraṁ puruṣamupaiti divyam (Bhagavad Gita 8.10)

prayāṇakāle — at the time of death; manasācalena = manasā — by the mind + acalena- by unwavering; bhaktyā — with devotion; yukto = yukta — connected; yogabalena — with psychological power developed through yoga practice; caiva = ca — and + eva — indeed; bhruvor = bhruvo — of the two eyebrows; madhye — in the middle; prāṇam — energizing breath; āveśya- having caused to enter; samyak — precisely; sa = sa — he; tam - this; param — supreme; puruam- person; upaiti — he goes; divyam — divine

...and that meditator who even at the time of death, with an unwavering mind, being connected devotedly, with psychological power developed through yoga practice, and having caused the energizing breath to enter between the eyebrows with precision, goes to the Divine Supreme Person. (Bhagavad Gita 8.10)
