Hunched-back Yogis

A friend who was deceased recently, steadied himself in the astral existence hereafter by resuming yoga practice with the subtle body. At first when he was deprived of the physical identity, he used to be with his social associates but then he segregated himself and firmed his yoga practice.

He reduced his association with those in this world in whom he had a relationship when his physical system was alive. This caused an increase in association with yogis who were departed and who practiced in small groups on the astral planes.

From the astral side this friend saw me daily when I did sessions of yoga postures with breath infusion, followed by meditation but after a time, after some months, I noticed that he no longer came. I got an indication that he increased his practice time and was remaining in meditations for long hours on the astral level.

Recently however around the beginning of December, 2017, he returned. When I first noticed him it seemed that he came from a zone of light which was far away. I greeted him. He said this, “They said that if I kept sitting and sleeping in that post, I would become a woman’s embryo. This is despite the fact that my meditation times increased.”

Hearing this, I replied that I would show him some postures which would reverse the tendency for the spine to curl in which results in embryo assumption sooner or later.

I showed him some postures. The important one is when the hands assume prayer fashion on the spine in the back. One pushes the hands up as far as can be tolerated and then one leans the head back as far as possible while holding the chest firm.

As a body gets old, its natural posture is to lurch the back forward resulting in a hunchback. This happens gradually over years and is hardly observed until the curved back is quite noticeable. The key to it are the bones of the neck and the spinal vertebrae between the shoulders.

This though negative for a yogi, is the natural preparation for assuming an embryo which at first develops from a curved position.
