Familiarity breeds contempt

There is an English saying:

“Familiarity breeds contempt.”

In the Application of Verse 15 of the Anu Gita, the following is written:

“When we consider the friendship between Krishna and Arjuna at Kurukshetra, and this new attitude of Krishna, we feel a certain detachment of Krishna in relation to Arjuna. Krishna perceived that his friendliness to Arjuna did Arjuna some harm in that it undermined Arjuna’s respect for Krishna, resulting in Arjuna not taking Krishna’s revelations and discourses seriously.”

How many times have we made a similar mistake as Arjuna did? As a student Yogi, there is a fine line to tread on.
