Fame: Jimi Hendrix’s Challenge
I was at an art function on the astral side in Manhattan New York City on Nov 11th 2015. There were many people in attendance; some were deceased already; some still had material bodies.
The place was well lit. It was in one of those buildings in Manhattan on the West Side (Greenwich Village) near the water, where there are large glass panes so that you could see outside the building easily and sunlight penetrated always, with no large skyscrapers to block sunlight.
Many artists were in attendance, some musicians, some painters, some this, some that but all famous people. Then it was Jimi Hendrix’s turn. He was requested to play a violin. He smiled, held the instrument and began to pull the horsehair bow over the strings. It was awful, a shrieking sound that hurt the sense of hearing. He tried his best but it just was not the way it was when he used an electric guitar.
After just a few minutes, he has to put down the instrument and moved off the stage. He was awkward and shy. He expressed a lack of self-confidence.
After him some other artists of various skills went up to the stage and put on their acts, some successful some to certain shame.

When I switched back to consciousness in the material body, I began to consider what happened. At first I did not have the desire to share the experience but then I thought that I should because it brings to fore the problems one might have with fame, where once one becomes famous, one has this idea that one should maintain that at all costs. But then if circumstances change or if the skill one uses is not relevant, how is one to gain the same acclaim?
What happens when a famous musician for a certain musical instrument changes bodies and comes back into the world into a circumstance where the instrument he mastered is obsolete or irrelevant? What does that person do to reclaim the fame?
What happens in the hereafter for a person who was famous while using the physical body, and who finds himself or herself to be in an astral situation, where the skill gained has no application?
Fame / It’s an awful tyrant!
