Enjoy Unmixed Inside Energy
From all indications and honest assessment devoid of hype, it appears that the core-self is not self-reliant. This might be an uncomfortable declaration but if it is true, then a yogi should consider and make the best use of it. If you are not self-reliant even when and if you become liberated, then what is the wholesome principle, object, person or environment which you should target for your support?
This came to my mind, as I practiced a kriya which I tested for Srila Yogeshwarananda. As usually, I test these procedures to see their value before I render them to students. Even a practice which is valid for me may not be useful to another student.
In plain English, the basis mantra for this kriya is:
Envoy inside – Do Not Mix
The idea is that the energy which is native to the psyche, the sensual energy which is generated by the kundalini, should be enjoyed directly, even before such energy is surcharged in the psyche itself. Raw generated energy has a neutral bliss aspect. That is if the student locates and enjoys it before it is surcharged in the psyche, and before it is mixed with energy from outside the psyche.
Once it is surcharged this energy inspires the senses to find corresponding objects for consumption in the external physical and subtle environments. As soon as the generated energy is used by the sense to identity matching external gratifications, there is a flow of that external information into the psyche. That flow is mixed with the internal energy.
The self then attempts to enjoy this mixed energy. Srila Yogeshwarananda said that this mixing activity should cease, whereby the self will enjoy the unmixed neutral energy inside the psyche and feel no need for the mixed varieties. If there must be some means of enjoyment, then the yogi should locate the safe means of doing so. That is the solution.
