Divine Eye Development

On Feb 27, 2024, Swami Kripalvananda, who is deceased, was in discussion about development of the divine eye for regular usage, where it stays put and allows for research into the chit akash sky of consciousness and elsewhere, even into the mystery of physical existence. He said this.

“It has to do with the singular sense of the self. That is the interest of the self, its sense of identity, which reaches out to locate anything besides itself. This sense is also realized as a single focusing force or as a gap for focus.

“The five physical senses have nothing to do with it. The yogi has to subtract his interest from the five senses and allow his interest to remain as the singular interest sense which was invested in any one or all of the five senses.

“The interest sense should be retracted from the five senses. When it is stabilized by itself without being invested in any of the five senses, there is the likelihood that the interest will itself convert into a portal or eye, for doing the transcendence research.

“There will be portal openings for the yogi who succeeds with this.
